“the sunset looks beautiful tonight”
“yeah, its almost like the universe knew it was my sweet sixteen!”
“yeah… im really glad you invited me to come do this with you.”
“im just glad you were able to come.”
“yeah..”
“wanna stay out to watch the stars with me?”
“sure, you know any constellations?”
“not really, but i know the stars are pretty!”
“ive never really sat and just watched the sky, it's quite calming.”
“yeah, it's beautiful.”
kenny places his hand onto hers. marjorine looks at kenny and realizes kenny isnt looking back at her. this wasnt an accident. marj adjusts her hand so shes holding his. marjorine continues to watch kennys face waiting for a reaction and kenny looks right back at her. their eyes meet and they both smile.
“marj?”
“yeah?”
“you know youre my best friend right?”
“youre mine too.”
“but, i feel like friendship isn't enough anymore…” he pauses “i want… more. and i really hope this doesnt change anything between us!”
“oh ken, of course not!”
“then, will you uhm, be my girlfriend?”
she leaps into his lap and kisses him.
“MWAH!”
“ill take that as a yes?”
“yes, i will be your girlfriend kenny.”
