my love, mine all mine

Summary:

Akahime wouldn’t mind being in love with a girl if it didn’t mean being in love with Akako. Because she didn’t feel like she was good enough for Akako. But if Akahime was in love with someone else, that wouldn’t be a problem.

Akako wouldn’t mind being in love with Akahime if it didn’t mean being in love with a girl. Because her parents would surely disapprove. But if her parents didn’t care about who she fell in love with, that wouldn’t be a problem.

Still, as the saying goes, “omnia vincit amor,” or “love conquers all.”

(Pre-transition Toshio fic which focuses on his relationship with Akako. Will update very, very, VERY slowly… so please be patient. Also, the angst will be in later chapters. Anyways, enjoy!)

Chapter 1: epigraph — the poems they never showed each other

Chapter Text

Poem #1, titled “Flying”

written by Akahime Nidai

Her heart beats with the wings of a thousand butterflies

and it soars like a crane in clear blue skies.

As she holds her dearest ever so tight

and the clock strikes midnight.

Poem #2, titled “Heartbeat”

written by Akako Nakamura

My heart beats only for you.

The veins that my blood runs through

all agree that I do, indeed, love you.

My heart longs for you—it aches and craves for your warmth.

Yet I hold myself back.

A confession will make our friendship damaged beyond repair.

So I wait for a day that will never come.

A day, on which I will confess my the ardent fervor of my love

and pray that this is not the end

of our cherished bond.

If it is the end, then I must let you go,

but I hope that you will always know

that my heart beats only for you

and keep in mind that all my words ring true.
