Tony was in the most boring and unnecessary meeting debrief ever. He has a kid he needs to get to and hear him babble on about Harry Potter because that was his new favorite topic. He didn't need to be in a meeting where Steve is talking about team improvement and whatnot. Him, Rhodey, Clint, Natasha, Thor, and Bruce were here listening to captain spangles and Tony would give his arm if it meant to be back with Peter.
It had been a rough estimate of 30 minutes in this discussion and a 2 hour mission because aliens decided to attack. The thing is, Peter clings to Tony's side everywhere. Tony loves that about him. The way Peter crosses his pinky against Tony's rather than fully holding his hand. Peter fully holds Tony's hand when he is uncomfortable, shy, for fun, or for safety and crossing pinky is usually sleepy.
Today the aliens attack right when Peter woke up, and Peter is attached to the hip with Tony when he wakes up. It hurts to see Peter face morph into a frown but he manages to convince Peter into playing with 'Uncle Happy'.
The other Avengers don't know of Peter's existence. The only people that do are Happy, Rhodey, Pepper, and Bruce. After Mary, Peter's mother had decided that she couldn't take care of a newborn and her job as a geneticist took a lot of her time she left Peter with him. She died in a plane crash with her newly wedded husband.
Peter knew his mom died and was sad on mother's day but he seemed to have accepted it. They met May and Ben at the funeral. They don't keep in contact often but when they do Peter enjoys the conversations. Tony didn't regret taking Peter in at any moment.
Sure, Tony sometimes didn't think he was going to be a good dad but he has the most amazing 4 year old kid he could have ever imagined so he thinks he is doing a decent job at being a dad. At some point in the meeting he took out his phone and answered some emails when the door of the meeting room opened.
Tony didn't bother to look up. That was until he heard a familiar whine and voice.
"Daddy?"

Peter wanted his daddy. He always said that Peter should always come to him if he needed something. And he was starting to get very bored of the apples Uncle Happy was giving him. He had Mr. Penguin with him, hugging him close to his chest as he ate and played with his legos.
Peter misses his daddy. It felt like a ton of years that he last saw him. Peter looked back to where Uncle Happy was laying seeing that he was asleep. Peter giggled seeing Uncle Happy face smooch on the couch. He looks funny.
Peter gasp when the idea came up. His master plan. Find his daddy. With Mr. Penguin help of course.
It was perfect, Peter decided excitedly.
"Jarbis?" Peter said looking up to where his brother was always speaking from.
"Yes baby sir?" Peter frowned
"M not a baby" he declared, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Of course not, what was I thinking? How may I help you young young sir?" Satisfied with the new name. Peter uncrossed his arms still holding Mr. Penguin. He goes to the elevator.
"I wan to see daddy " he put it simply. Peter was sure this was going to work.
"I'm sorry but you can't go unsupervised" Peter took a minute eyebrows furrowed. His dad said he must put his smart brain to work when coming up with ideas. He will do just that .
"M am sup-super'ise. Jarbis can super'ise me" he says, stepping closer to the elevator. It doesn't take long to open and Peter squires into the elevator.
It starts to move. He doesn't know where it stops but there is a hallway with doors. Peter followed Jarvis instructions on which is the one daddy is in. Peter starts to get nervous. He can feel tears threatening to spring out. He opened the door.
There were lots of people in the room. A pretty lady with red hair, and a man with blond hair and pretty eyes. And many many more.
But no daddy. They were staring at him funnyly and weirdly Peter didn't like it.
Peter's tears fell one by one and he let out a sad noise.
"Daddy?" He looks around. Then he saw his daddy head pop up and ran towards him not noticing his drop stuff animal on the way.

His son had tears on his cute little face that doesn't belong there and ran toward him. Tony picks him up and places him on his lap as if it was second nature which it is.
"Hey hey what's wrong bambi? Where's Happy?" He said softly wiping the tears on his kids face with the thumb. Careful around his glasses.
"I-i want t-to be 'ith y-you" Peter clung his hands behind Tony neck. Oh pete. Peter has a speech problem which he is getting some help for but it can be harder when Peter is in emotional distress. Peter was born premature and was underdeveloped. That terrified Tony but Peter made it. A little too small for his age and some other things but made it out alive. Peter is very smart though call him biased but its true Peter is smarter for his age.
"Why isnt Happy with you?" Tony doesn't bother with the confused and surprised looks some of the team members are giving them. Not when Peter is in emotional distress and he isn't getting a lot of details on how Peter was able to leave the penthouse.
Peter sniffles " Jarbis said I 'ant go bec'use I was unsuper'ised but I said 'm not cause I 'ave him to watch me" Tony was questioning if this was his fault for making the kid smart.
"Okay we are going to have a major discussion on how smart you can be when you're not avoiding your preschool homework" Tony nudges Peter adorable pink nose. Peter gives a tiny nod. Happy came bursting into the room looking like he was in a fight with a hair stylist.
"Tony, I don't know how he left the penthouse. I closed my eyes and he was just gone. It wasn't even 2 minutes I swear. He is an escape artist I'm telling you." Happy rushly explained and Tony gave him an amused look.
"No hard feeling, you look a mess get the day off. And next time just turn on harry potter and prisoner of Azkaban and he will not move." Happy gave a nod and left looking relieved. Tony turned back to Peter
"Want to say hi to the Avengers, Peter? Remember when I told you about them?" Tony let out a huff laugh when Peter head snapped up eyes widening.
"Yes! Please! " Tony shifted Peter to face towards the rest of the other occupants in the room.
Tony started off with Steve
"Thats Steve Rogers, Captain Spangles" Steve rolled his eyes but looked at Peter with a friendly smile " that's Natasha Romanov, Black Widow. Clint Barton, Hawkeye," Clint gave Peter a small smile " good to meet you Peter" Tony pointed at Thor "and Thor also known as God of Thunder" Peter let out a giggle " Thor can do the kabooms?""
"He sure can not right now though, it's not an inside activities" Peter agreed with a little hum.
"Hi Uncle Brucie! Hi Uncle Rhodey!" Bruce picked something up from the floor "You drop this bud" which Tony noticed it was the Penguin Peter claimed to be his partner in crime. He can see why now.
Peter made grabby hands, finally when ahold of it he clutched it to the chest. Peter began to cling onto his pinky finger and Tony knew that meant Peter was sleepy.
"Okay kid need their nap now" he stood up placing Peter on his hip "if that's all Steve we will be leaving. If there are questions about Peter then make an appointment. Nice work team." Tony turns to leave.
"Bye birdbrain, bye Stevie, bye Natasa, bye kaboom, bye Uncle Brucie and Uncle Rhodey!" Tony let out a huff at some of the nicknames. "Bye petey pie!" Rhodey called out. Rhodey loves calling Peter that nickname and Tony enjoys it to.
He closed the door of the meeting room. Inside the elevator he kissed the top of his baby head. "Let's get you to bed and then we can watch Harry Potter when we wake up, how does that sound bambino?"
At the end of the day they ended up on the couch cuddling, Peter rambling about the movie and Tony wouldn't change a thing about his life. He has everything he need in his arms.
