Work Text:
Little Eri was asleep in her bed, when a nightmare happened. In the dream, Lemillion and Deku were murder, and Overhaul had kept her in prison with no one to save her. She woke up with a scream, terrifying to anyone who heard it. Not a minute later, her adoptive father, Aizawa (AKA Eraserhead) came bursting into her bedroom, with Hizashi (AKA Present Mic) following right behind. Both the teachers were wearing their pjs, with Aizawa wearing a black sweater and pink sweatpants, and Hizashi wearing a Yellow sweater and black sweatpants. Hizashi also had his ear piece in, due to him being partially deaf.
“Eri, what’s wrong? Did you have a nightmare? Can I help?” Asked a panic Aizawa, who was extremely worried, and wanted to protect his little girl
“Yeah, little listener, did you have a nightmare?” Hizashi asks, with a sad smile across his face.
“Ummm… I had a nightmare, that Deku and Lemillion died by Overhaul, and no one saved me. It… was a very bad dream… A hug would be nice and maybe Deku and hot chocolate? I know it's late, but I know seeing Deku would help a lot. I hope that isn’t a bother or too much to ask.” Eri asked, with a tremble in her voice, and instantly both Hizashi and Aizawa gave her a hug. The two parents shared a look, and very soon Hizashi left to get the green-haired hero. Aizawa stayed with Eri, holding her tight, and then picked her up to go to the kitchen to make warm hot chocolate with marshmallows. He kept holding her, so that way she could hear his heartbeat, and so that way he didn’t go hunting down Overhaul due to the pain that beast caused his little girl.
Hizashi came in with a kid with dishevel green hair, worried green eyes, and a tired small smile. The kid was wearing a sweatshirt that said sweatshirt on it, and All Might pj pants. His worried eyes searched for Eri, and when he saw the little unicorn girl, he gave a big smile, and began talking in a slow voice.
“Hey Eri-chan, I heard you had a nightmare. Can I give you a hug, or sing you a song or both?” Deku, asked with a calm voice, his eyes watching her, and waiting patiently for her decisions.
“Hey Deku-kun, can I please get a hug and can you sing me a song?” Eri asked quietly, while Aizawa took his daughter to the couch, and she instantly ran to Deku for a big hug. Deku lifted her up and carried her over to the coach so he could sing her a song.
“Well, when I had nightmares, my mom used to sing me a song before I go to sleep, and I remember the words to them, so let’s try that,” Deku answered. He did not see the worry glances that both of his teachers gave each other. The look basically asks, this kid had nightmares growing up? Why? Aizawa huffs, and maybe thinks about therapy for his residential problem child. Deku began to sing, and it was a slow song:
Come stop your crying it will be alright
Just take my hand, hold it tight
I will protect from all around you
I will be here don’t you cry
For one so small,
You seem so strong
My arms will hold you,
Keep you safe and warm
This bond between us
Can't be broken
I will be here don’t you cry
Cause you’ll be in my heart
Yes, you’ll be in my heart
From this day on
Now and forever more
You’ll be in my heart
No matter what they say
You’ll be here my heart
Always
Always
And with the final verse sung, the little girl fell asleep, in the safe protective arms of her hero. A small grin came across both kids' faces, and the parents stayed there and watched with wonder.
“Is it okay if I stay here, with her in my arms tonight?” Deku asked his teachers, and both of them gave him a nod. Relieved that their little girl was finally sleeping in the arms of the hero that saved her. In the morning, she would wake up with a smile, and her parents would ask Deku for the song, just to help her sleep. Deku would make a voice recording, to help Eri fall asleep, and to keep the nightmares at bay. Aizawa and Hizashi were happy that their little girl got the comfort that she needed.
