Noah sat in his room looking at the confirmation letter that the makers of a reality show, Total drama, sent him after auditioning. The letter looked half-assed and messily put together, it also had a stain on the corner of it which Noah hopefully assumed it was a coffee stain and not anything else. Noah thought it was insanely ironic due to the fact the maker of this TV show was a multi-millionaire and had been in countless Movies and shows. His dog, Artemis, was laying down next to him for, quote, “emotional support”. She’s a pretty golden lab with a very light yellow coat. Finally, Noah sighs and decides to finally open the letter, he is met with big bold letters saying.
“ YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE WONDERFUL CAST OF TOTAL DRAMA !!”
Noah sighs in relief, he looks over all of the legal mumbo jumbo quickly and lays down on his bed smirking slightly. He thinks to himself about how easy this will be to win. A big brother-esque reality show in a big nice five star hotel, god this was going to be a piece of cake. He laid there for a while scratching Artemis's head until a banging on Noah’s door made Noah sit up and groan out an answer.
“What??” Noah half yelled. Artemis’s ears perked up at the noise
A young woman opens the door and glares at him, it was his irish twin sister Asha. She was older than Noah by only 11 months, she was taller than him by maybe a few inches but she would rag on him for it. She had brown hair that went mostly down to her shoulders and a few streaks of blue in there too.
“Am'mā wants you.” she barks out
Noah looks at her and sits up “Why?” he asks
Asha rolls her eyes “umm to wash the dishes, duhhh” She says sarcastically. Asha and Noah made eye contact for a solid 3 minutes until Asha opened her mouth again. “Oh my god, she wants you to tell us what’s in that stupid letter in front of us, idiot.”
Noah smirks at his sister. “I knew that, asshole, I just wanted you to stew in that comment you made.”
Asha’s face contorts into an annoyed cringe “whatever, just hurry up and bring that stupid ass letter.” She walks out of the doorway. Noah gets up, pats Artemis on the head and follows Asha out of the room, passing one of his other sisters, Varenya, she was rushing around in the bathroom next to Noah’s room getting ready for work. She was the eldest sibling in Noah’s family being around 19 years old when Noah was born.
Varenya looks up at the mirror and sees Noah looking at her through the reflection. She smiles and puts her mascara down.
Varenya turns to look at Noah face to face. “Awww look at my grown baby brother!” She coos out. “Did you open the letter yet? Am'mā was very excited about it for you.”
Noah nods “I did, Asha came into my room to say Am'mā wanted me to tell all of you the contents of it.”
Varenya smiles at him “of course she does, you know she did that with all of our-”
“College letters? I know.” Noah rolls his eyes
His sister raises an eyebrow at him “hmm, you better not be giving me an attitude right now, young man.” she says and turns back to doing her makeup
Noah replies back “Whateverrr.”
He starts to walk through the hallway to the living room where the rest of his family sat. His second and third eldest sisters, Hina and Ember, sat on the couch that was in front of the TV. The fourth sister, Vivah, was talking to their mother in the kitchen. The three last sisters were standing near the end of the hallway seemingly waiting for Noah to walk out. He walked up to the nearest sister, Maya, and tapped her on her shoulder.
“Ya think if I run, none of them would notice me?” He asks jokingly. His sister jumps at him talking with a yelp.
“OH MY GOD!”
Noah started to cackle at Maya’s reaction. Maya turns around and punches Noah in the arm.
“Rude! You little shit!” Maya yells at him
The fifth sister looks over at the two and shakes her head.
“Maya! Noah! Language! You know what Am'mā would do if she heard you two!” Rue says to them, next to her Asha was laughing at the two of them. Noah looks over at Maya and rolls his eyes sarcastically. Noah walks past the laughing Asha and Maya and the glaring Rue. He walks into the kitchen to make his presence aware to his loving mother.
Vivah looked over at Noah in the doorway and smiled. “There’s the boy of the hour!” Their mother turned and looked at Noah.
“Hey Am'mā!” Noah says. His mother smiles very wide at him.
“Ahhhh my Iṉippu!” she says walking over to Noah, embracing him in a warm hug. “Come! I made you some food!!” she leads him over to the counter, Noah looks around at the food his mother made, it was a mix of just some random food he likes and various sweets. Noah felt his face warm. He looked over at his mother
“Aw Am'mā, you didn’t need to do this!” Noah squeaks out.
Am'mā shakes her head “nope! This is your last day with us for eight weeks! You need this, both the energy and the love.”
Vivah starts to speak. “I agree, you're a scrawny little boy who needs all the love and food there is!” she says jokingly
Noah turns around to face Vivah. “Shut up Vi” he snarks out.
Am'mā looks at both of them “Vivah, leave him alone, he’s just a boy.” VIvah just smirks at him and walks into the kitchen. Noah just stares back at her then he looks back at his mother with a grin.
“Thank you so much again Am'mā, I promise you I will win this for the both of us” he says, taking his mother's hands and holding them.
Am'mā giggles “Oh i’m so proud of the man you’ve become, Iṉippu.” Both walk away from the food on the counter and meet the rest of the family in the living room. When both had walked in, Varenya got up and half-yelled to the group of sisters.
“Alrightly! As everyone may know, our sweet runt of the litter has an announcement!” She says, out stretching her arms. Noah rolls his eyes hard as he passes off his mom to his sister, Rue, who is now sitting on the couch next to Hina and Maya. Noah strolls up to the front of the room through the joke whoops and cheers.
Noah takes out the already open letter and takes out the main part of the message.
“Dear Noah Mudaliar, We are glad to inform you that-”
there it was again the big bold letters that will redefine his life. For eight weeks straight, he will be put on international TV with 21 other teenagers. Being forced to live with them, talk and other social things. The thought kind of makes Noah shiver but him auditioning for this thing was for his family.
Noah finishes out the sentence-
YOU HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO THE WONDERFUL CAST OF TOTAL DRAMA !! “
Most of his sisters started to squeal and cheer. He looks up and sees Maya and Ember holding hands and jumping. Varenya and his mother are hugging, Asha and Rue are smiling at him. The next thing that happened was Vivah and Hina jumping up and hugging Noah.
“OH MY GOD NOAH!!” Hina exclaims
Vivah joins in “I’M SO PROUD OF YOU, NOAH!!”
Noah smiles at everything happening around him. He knew he made the right decision now.
