Summary
The foul smell of blood didn’t help with the dreadful scene before him. At some point Big Daddy let him go and started to lecture his subordinate. Victor couldn’t focus, his mind running too fast that his surroundings became a blur. Due to the apparent ringing in his ears, Victor couldn’t make out exactly what Big Daddy was saying to his underling, something along the line of loyalty if he could guess. At some point, Victor heard Big Daddy’s dismissal so he started to walk away. Just as he was about to go through the door, Victor heard Big Daddy’s advice to his subordinate.
