Daniel had asked him out recently, having noticed Kevin's stares and constant blushing around him. He had something almost celestial about him, Kevin always seemed to be a little different from everyone else, even when he tried to disguise it with humour.
He hadn't dared to approach Daniel, the man seeming so settled in his life that Kevin almost felt he was disturbing the peace.
Kevin didn't know his feelings were reciprocated, Daniel always curious to get behind the puzzle that was him. His eyes shone with something special, Daniel couldn't get enough of his stupid jokes and loving gaze.
After quite a few years of endless pining and fooling around, Daniel had decided to take matters into his own hands and invited Kevin to meet him at a restaurant.
Not any restaurant, a dark restaurant, forcing them to actually talk and get their feelings out before climbing each other like a tree.
So when Kevin sat down in his chair, he couldn't actually see Daniel at all, he wasn't too happy about not having his cute face to get lost in, but when he heard the familiar voice, he still felt a wave of 'something' wash over him.
"Hey angel, I'm so glad you came", Daniel whispered, patting the table for Kevin's hand.
"Hey... I'm also glad to eeeh, see you..", Kevin giggled, "do we have to eat with glowsticks, I'm never gonna find my food otherwise."
Daniel grinned, missing Kevin's terrible remarks the second he wasn't around, lacing their fingers together almost elegantly.
"This is so weird, I feel like I wanna pat around in the darkness to search your face", Kevin admitted sheepishly, his free hand patting Daniel's nose seconds later. He laughed, poking the cheeks and chin under his fingers.
Daniel was silent for a second, worrying Kevin he'd overdone his shenanigans.
Then, when Kevin's fingers were ghosting over his lips in a mix of apology and admiration, he opened his mouth and lunched forward, capturing them.
Kevin gasped, not having expected Daniel to be the one breaking into such explicit affection already. Hadn't he wanted for them to talk first?
Kevin certainly didn't mind as he felt Daniel's tongue push between each of his fingers and starting to suck on them.
A surprised pant left his mouth, he felt his body starting to respond to the teasing.
"Daniel... didn't we meet up here to not do that?", he breathed, but doing nothing to remove his hand.
Daniel hummed, increasing his effort while imagining the expression on Kevin's face.
He'd closed his eyes, basking in the sensation of Kevin's large fingers, but a low light registered behind his lids.
Curious, he slowly opened his eyes, searching for the source.
He didn't expect Kevin's usually already expressive eyes to be staring back at him.
Daniel gasped, surprise mixing with a morbid curiosity, he wasn't scared, this was Kevin, he'd never do anything to harm him.
Kevin's eyes were actually glowing, their usual twinkle had turned brighter and brighter, his pupils glowing greenish white, fading into a low shimmer over his sclera and lashes.
It should've felt alien to Daniel, but he couldn't shake the feeling of softness away, something about Kevin's usually so dark eyes, now glistening with pure joy at him took all confusion away.
Kevin was literally beaming.
Kevin must have noticed too, not that it wouldn't have been obvious that he'd suddenly be able to see Daniel's face in the pitch black room. He turned red, glad that the light was still low enough to hide his blush.
"Oh, uuuh, hehe... well", he stammered, wanting to explain before Daniel would leave in terror, "I've had this weird accident as a child, i ate something that I shouldn't have, and it left this weird effect on me..."
He trailed off, but Daniel wanted to know
more, "Little Kevin also had to put everything in his mouth, huh?", he teased, trying to lighten the mood, he'd felt Kevin's hand tense in his during their conversation.
Kevin snorted, the cramped clasp on Daniel's hand loosening a little, and Daniel could've sworn his fingers sparked for a moment.
Kevin pulled his hand back quickly, Daniel wouldn't let his love be scared to be himself in front if him, "Kev, don't worry, give me your hand, do you trust me?"
This would probably be the extent of feelings talk they'd do, but Kevin was thankful he'd had someone like Daniel in front of him, no judgement, just a soft smile encouraging him to continue.
Kevin hesitantly lifted his hands from their hiding spot below the table, his fingertips giving off a dim glow. He threaded his fingers back into Daniel's, silently assuring him of his trust. If anyone would understand him, then Daniel.
They looked at each other, Daniel studying Kevin's features illuminated by his eyes, had they become brighter?
Kevin enjoyed being under Daniel's scrutiny, even in this moment, when he felt more exposed than ever before.
He wondered what Daniel was thinking about, his eyes crinkled in joy, good thoughts then...
Kevin felt a surge run over his back as he caught himself thinking about all the moments Daniel's eyes had observed him this closely.
"Your hands!", Daniel gasped, Kevin's eyes snapped down. The dim glow had turned brighter, spreading over the entirety of his fingers, to his knuckles and slowly seeping through his veins until his sleeves covered his remaining arm.
He flinched, preparing himself for some level of disgust and fear, but none came.
Daniel had notices Kevin's response, mentally kicking himself for blurting his words out so directly, even if he was just worried about Kevin's health.
He lifted his hand, intertwined with Kevin's, up to his lips and gave each flashing finger a soft kiss.
Kevin hummed, the memory of how had Daniel played with them earlier fogging his mind. The information went straight to his dick, which in turn made him blush at how easily Daniel played him.
Daniel poked his nose, "Hey Rudolph, your nose is lighting up, are you still feeling alright?"
Kevin blushed even deeper, he had no way out of having to explain how his shimmers happened.
"Yeah, yeah I'm very well.. but I guess I'll have to explain, won't I?", he sighed, "I'll skip most of the story since it's honestly really embarrassing until i had figured out why this happened.
Daniel perked up, curious as ever.
"Phew, okay so... ilightupwhenimexcited", Kevin rambled.
Daniel's eyebrows met with his hairline, "You.. You light up when you're..." "Excited, yes."
All kinds of emotions flashed over Daniel's face, trying to make sense of what Kevin could possibly mean.
"It's not what you think, I start to glow when i do fun things like ride a rollercoaster, or when i get really scared during a horror movie, you know, times when i'm filled with adrenaline."
Daniel smirked, now finally understanding why Kevin was so utterly embarrassed by this happening right now, it wasn't because of him, it was because "it also happens when you're horny," he concluded, making Kevin hide his head in his elbow with a groan.
Suddenly Daniel burst into loud laughter, all food and talking plans finally abandoned. "So, what you're saying is, your imagination has been running wild all evening and giving it away so obviously," Daniel teased further, lifting his foot to press it lightly into Kevin's crotch, feeling an expected hardness.
Kevin gasped, ashamed of being found out so easily but also glad he didn't have to engage in further talking.
When Daniel asked him if his entire body could light up, accompanied by a smug grin, Kevin wanted to melt right on the spot, but confirmed.
"Well, lucky you, mister, we're going to my bedroom and I'll find out just how much of a human torch i can make you", he winked, "or should i say flashlight?"
Kevin was dragged away by a stumbling Daniel, both grinning in anticipation for their new round of experimentation. Hopefully Daniel had sunglasses, the hot bitch.
