Chapter Text
Duncan Tarun’s jail is not a pretty sight, but as far as I can tell he’s perfectly fine. His arms are crossed as he looks me up and down.
“So…What can I do for you?” He asks finally. I click on my phone, recording the interview.
“Duncan Tarun, best known for appearing on four seasons of Total Drama, the first season airing nearly ten years ago, correct?” He glares at me, scowling strongly.
“Yes.”
“You have been sentenced to five years of prison after destroying Chris McLean’s ‘cottage’ and then sentenced five more years after repeatedly breaking your probation.”
“Yup. Anything else?”
“What if I could offer you a chance out of here?” He smirks at me, leaning forward enough that I could almost see his breath against the glass.
“And how would you do that?”
“I’ll pay.” He laughs, the very same that I grew up watching.
“And exactly how much do you getting me out of here will cost?”
“Probably under one million. Which is what I can give you.” He cackles so hard he ends up in a coughing fit, leaning against the table with tears in his eyes.
“You’re kidding, right?” He raises a singular eyebrow and chugs his cup of water.
“I wish, this money is coming from my pocket. But I care about this show-”
“Show? No way in hell am I ever doing a show again.” He cuts me off.
“Fine, you can stay here in jail and somebody else will get the million.” He sighs, rubbing his eyes.
“Fine. What’s the show?” I can’t help my grin.
“Total Drama Couples! We take old couples from Total Drama seasons and see if we ignite that old spark.” Another coughing fit from Duncan.
“So just to be clear-”
“You get one million either way, a hundred million if you win Cutest Couple.” That makes him stop.
“How long until we start?” I grin, knowing I’ve won.
“Two weeks, I'll get you a lawyer.”

“Oh, Bridgette? Of course I miss her, but she wanted to go to college and explore who she was as a person and I knew who I was. I knew who she was. So we went our separate ways.” I nodded, watching Geoff finish shoving the last of his Buffalo wings.
“What if I could offer you a-”
“Nother chance? Duncan called me, asking if I was gonna do it and a chance to miss up to two weeks of work, earn a million bucks, and get a chance to reignite my love? Hey where did you even get that much money anyway?”
“So you’re in right?”
“Erm, yeah, but-”
“Great, I’ll see you in a week and five days.” I rise from my chair, waving at him slightly.

Leshawna stares at me and then at her phone.
"And you want me to go on with Harold." It's not a question.
"Yeah, to be honest when I watched the show I didn't see any chemistry but the people want what the people want." I shrug my shoulders.
Leshawna lives comfortably, might even be comfortable enough to turn down my money.
"And Heather's not coming?" I grin, as a kid I couldn't stand Heather, no way would I want her in my new show.
"No, she won't join you."
"Well, why not? Maybe seeing my old friends will be the change I need." She shrugs and I rise, making sure the cameras don't turn to me.
With Leshawna on the show, I'll have the publicity I need. I mean, famous reality TV star Leshawna? The same Leshawna who swore to never fall in love might actually fall in love? Who wouldn't watch that?

Trent taps his finger on the table nine times. Nine chairs at the table for his two friends. Cody sits next to him, scowling at the paper placed in front of him.
"I don't understand. Me and Noah…We've never dated!"
Trent smirks at his friend. “Yeah, but you've made out." Cody swats at his friend, scowling even harder.
"No way in hell, Noah won't agree to
this."
"He already has." I'm hoping that won't be a lie.
"Why can't I go on with Trent or something?"
"I mean if you really wanna make-out with him right now it’s fine, but Trent has been offered to go on with Gwen." Trent's fingers stop moving.
"Gwen. The girl who decimated me so much I still have to go to therapy?"
"Um…Yes, but think about what else her actions caused! Your a therapist now, helping people just like you! Your happy, you live with your best friend-"
Trent puts his hands up, shaking his head."One million for the both of us?" He clarifies.
"Yup." He and Cody seem to have a conversation with their eyes.
"We're in."
