In the beginning, Nathara was born into darkness. Her very life was cursed from the beginning, despite her mother’s attempt to shroud her in secrecy as a matter of protection. There was no stopping him once he discovered her mother’s deception. At a mere one-year-old, her entire life changed.
During the downfall of the Dark Lord, Nathara bounced around from manor to manor, clutching onto the only family she had ever known. Finally, at eight years old, she landed in the place she now considered home. It wasn’t much, the little house in Spinner’s End, a shabby suburb of Cokeworth, but it was stability. It was home.
Now, Nathara, who no longer went by that name, chewed slowly on her toast at the little table, with the uneven leg, in the kitchen. Today was the day she had been waiting for, but also the day that terrified her.
