Chapter Text
Ever since Teth and Tsadi first met, a connection was formed. Both Elders first arrived from the sky and to the world as it was flourishing into something new and grand. A civilization that will always be remembered in history's pages. They're not the only ones who have arrived. Others like Daleth, Ayin, and Lamed were from the sky as well. Confused as to what is happening and why they are here, the Elders met and introduced themselves to each other and professed their questions and worries towards the situation all of them are in. After a few days and finally settling in their new homes, Her Grace has made herself known to the first civilization where everyone could hear her. During that moment of omnipotent power, the Elders witnessed Her Grace's appearance and listened to her words to the people and to them.
She has told them of their purpose and their reason as to why they are sent to this world that was just born from Her Grace's craftsmanship. Her Grace has also telling the people to follow the Elders for they are the leaders and caretakers of the realm they have arrived in. As the Elders awoke, they understood that they're leaders to the realms they first arrived to. With that, Daleth became known as the Isle Elder, Ayin as the Prairie Elder, Teth as the Forest Elder, Tsadi as the Wasteland Elder, and Lamed as the Vault Elder.
It is strange that Valley of Triumph never received an Elder. Perhaps there is a reason as to why Her Grace hasn't brought an Elder to the realm of snow and ice. Though, the Elders, thankful for the people of this world for welcoming them, have decided to bring aid to the Valley. The ones who are near to the realm, Teth and Tsadi, have brought many help to the people in the realm due to the distance which is an advantage.
With them always helping the Valley, this gave Teth and Tsadi to meet and interact with each other. What was once conversations for the sake of professionalism became a chat between two friends and both Elders couldn't be more than happy to converse and communicate with one another. They have shown the other around their realms, mentioned their plans and goals for their realm and people, and shared stories of the times when they were settling in their realms. What Tsadi noticed as Teth was being his tour guide around Hidden Forest was that she's a dreamer.
In Tsadi's eyes, Teth is a woman who has aspirations and creative ideas flowing in her mind like a stream that is never-ending. He also learnt that Teth is skilled in creating and crafting things with her creative skills. He has seen the Elder craft a wicker basket and has gifted it to him. Tsadi keeps that wicker basket in his home, and it's where he now puts his important work, like documents to sign. What Tsadi also found out about that Teth is that she's serious. Very serious.
She looks like someone who doesn't play games and wants to get straight to the point so that there won't be any delays. Teth is dedicated and serious about her duty as an Elder. It's not that everyone isn't. Teth just shows her dedication to her role in a more serious way, unlike Ayin's calm personality and Lamed's reassuring personality. There are some who consider Teth as cold and stoic due to her personality and demeanor during work.
Always a serious expression on her face, her tone is strict, and not to mention, her blue eyes that could cut a piece of paper.
In short, Teth is a very serious Elder.
But behind that cold and serious demeanor of hers is a woman who deeply cares about the people and environment around her. She listens to criticisms, complaints, suggestions, and advice from her people. She does her very best to fix the problems in her realm and to implement long-lasting solutions. She doesn't see herself as superior to her people, but as equals. Not to mention, Teth is friends with a whale that takes residence in the caverns.
Teth cares for the environment and makes sure that the improvement and advancement of existing technologies doesn't harm the environment. Though, she is fully aware that balancing these two aspects is difficult which is why she's very dedicated in keeping the environment safe while also focusing on the technology of this world.
No wonder Tsadi greatly admires her.
For Teth, she admires her friend as well. In a way, both are alike. Both have a serious demeanor, but deep down, they care greatly for their realms and others.
Shores of Manna is the hub for all agriculture, hence why it received its name. The fields are rich of wheat, the waters are filled of fish, and the resources are plentiful. It's a paradise. A haven. And a wonderful place if you wish to work in agriculture or stay somewhere peaceful and lively at the same time. The Valley is dependent to the resources that Shores of Manna gives due to the snowy climate. Of course, both realms work together by exchanging and trading resources like how The Valley has its own ecosystem of fish that are useful in delectable dishes.
When Tsadi first knew about his purpose as Shores of Manna's Elder, he was confused on what to do. He doubt he would be of use in farming, fishing, and even gathering resources, but he tried his best in helping the people. As he was fulfilling his duties as an Elder, he has found tasks that he could contribute to his people, like manpower, recording statistics, and being a good leader to his people. He even learnt and taught himself agriculture. With that, he received the knowledge of an agriculturist. With Teth by his side, he learned how to operate machinery used in farming, fishing, and agriculture.
Tsadi didn't expect to have a soft spot for the environment and plants in general. As he was figuring out his duties and role in Shores of Manna, he found himself deeply caring for his home and the world he lives in. For someone who is considered intimidating by many, Tsadi has a soft and big heart. He is fond towards mantas.
Teth truly admires Tsadi for his sense of leadership and his care towards the realm and its environment. She feels happy to see him so well. Not to mention, seeing Tsadi smile makes Teth's eyes go wide, not from surprise, but due to how contagious Tsadi's happiness his. Seeing the Elder of Shores of Manna smile and laugh makes Teth's heart leap and run around. There is something about Tsadi that makes Teth's eyes shine as if stars are living in her blue-green hues.
And her eyes. How Tsadi loves looking at them.
One time, her eyes were sparkling when she spoke to Tsadi about the recent drafts she has created. Teth has a passion for engineering and creating things. She also wields a hammer and an anvil is situated in her work station at the temple she's made her residence. As she continued to tell Tsadi about her ideas and drafts, the Elder of Shores of Manna was looking deeply into her blue-green eyes that look like they're holding stars. It was beautiful. Tsadi was still listening to Teth talking to him, of course.
Tsadi notices that Teth's eyes go along with what she's feeling. When she's happy, her eyes look like a glistening stream of water that has green leaves floating above. When she's feeling negative emotions, it looks like a storm is fast approaching.
The eyes are truly the windows to the soul.
As both Elders continue to interact and spend time with each other, both have noticed things about each other that both find endearing. Teth loves Tsadi's smile and laughter, while Tsadi loves Teth's eyes. Teth thinks that Tsadi's happiness is contagious and Tsadi thinks that seeing Teth so serious is very beautiful to see. He even considers her as the epitome of beauty.
Both know what's one's likes, dislikes, fears, and interests. Both appreciate each other's company and friendship.
It's stupid, Tsadi thinks, that when he first met Teth when he and the other Elders first arrived in this world and saw her eyes, he felt a connection form between them.
Two souls connecting. An unbreakable bond between the two.
Tsadi thinks it's stupid because how can that happen when he and Teth first met at that time. An unbreakable bond and connection happening in the first day is totally impossible.
But who knows?
When Teth first saw Tsadi, her eyes sparkled for a while when she made eye contact with him.
