Summary
The Traveler sure does have a sense of humour, and so the dreaded Disciple of the Dark ends up resurrected by a cheeky Ghost. With the removed burden of memories and added confusion of the Light, he stumbles his way through the High Coven, trying to piece together who he was, and what his legacy of vibrant paintings and cut-up worms really means. Savathûn hates every second of this—so of course she thinks up a plan.

The Whisper Queen ponders new ways. With her claws on the Traveler's Shard, she could drown the world in shadow, she could fatten her worm to repletion and wage war on Ur alone. But something in her cowers.
Not everything yet is new in this strange era of jagged shapes, and the Traveler reaches out to a young Guardian. It gives her a dream of peace—much to Eris’ concern, Savathûn’s delight, and Toland’s dry amusement—and pulls them into a battle none of them have ever fought before. There are so many questions, and so much grief, and so little time.
The Light has never been an answer. But maybe now it just might.
