Orpheus was the son of a Muse. He was aware it made him very different from any other man he knew. But he loved his mom, more than anything else in the world.
And then, one day, she was gone.
Somewhere in the end of the world, a manzanita tree grew. And there camped a hungry young girl coming from somewhere very, very far away.(Based on the idea Edmonton!Orpheus's mother was Polyhymnia, the Muse of Sacred Hymns, who was also associated with agriculture.)
