Grogu pants as he follows Koska Reeves around a section of reconstruction that she is overseeing. He gets frustrated that he’s short and has to struggle along sometimes or ride in his pram or be carried. He wishes he would grow. He sighs as Koska turns to another section and yells at someone else.
He wishes that Ragnar would get back. Ragnar had to go get something, so this left Grogu to watch Koska. Ragnar can keep up with her better and he can ride on Ragnar’s shoulder like he does with Dad. He’s following Koska because of the baby. The baby Koska is carrying is Ragnar’s sibling. Grogu knows that people think he doesn’t understand, but he understands a lot. Koska has to be watched because she got hurt and almost lost the baby. Everyone worries for her now.
With the biggest one dead, Ragnar’s father, Paz, everyone must take care of Koska and the baby growing inside her. Grogu has felt the child. He is not Force Sensitive, but he is healthy. Grogu can feel him.
Grogu knows two other females that carry children. Momma Bo’s friend Vhemi and one of the girls that Momma Bo beat at the hidden planet. Grogu doesn’t like that girl because she still thinks about Dad even though she’s with another and Dad was never interested in her anyway. If Momma Bo knew, she’d beat her up again.
The big celebration was last night. Momma Bo and Dad danced, and a new person came that was a friend to Momma Bo as well as several others. After the celebration, they went home. Grogu heard them, even though he was tired and sleepy. He knows from him and Ragnar catching a couple doing copulation behind a service building one time, that was what Momma Bo and Dad were doing. He knows that they were trying to make a baby, but it didn’t happen. Grogu checked this morning when he was hugging Momma Bo. They will the next time because Grogu healed her this morning when he was hugging her so that she could have one. That’s part of the reason he’s tired, is because healing takes a lot of energy.
Grogu sees Ragnar and squeals happily as the boy returns with food. Grogu loves that Koska loves food as much as he does.
“Koska, I have brought you mid meal.”
“Ragnar, I can’t eat right now. I have a lot to do.”
“I’ll send Grogu to go get Axe. You know he will blather at you until you eat.”
“AASSSS,” Grogu agrees, even though Axe Woves is not one of his favorite people because he calls Momma Bo by Bo, and she doesn’t like him to do it. Only Grogu and Dad can call her that.
“Did he just call Axe an ass?”
“He can’t say Axe yet. Ass is the best he can do. And you know Axe can be an ass so…”
Koska laughs and they go to sit in the shade near some of the new construction. They sit and Koska takes food first, then Grogu and Ragnar. They eat and laugh. Koska burps and apologizes until Ragnar burps then Grogu. Grogu smiles because he does the best burps making Koska laugh harder.
Grogu burps and the ground shakes. That wasn’t him. He didn’t do that. He wasn’t using the Force. Ragnar grabs Koska as the wall behind them screeches as the support beam gives way. The wall falls towards the open hole where they were going to fill the hard stuff and the ground disappears under Ragnar and Koska. Grogu squeals and runs to the edge. Koska is rolling off the top of Ragnar. The boy sits up groaning, “Are you alright Koska?”
“It’s me that should be asking you that.”
“What happened?”
“The support brace gave way. That steel from Pridath is dank.”
“Where’s Grogu?”
“RA!!!” Grogu yells and they look up at him. He waves. He’s too tired to use the Force to help them out because he healed Momma Bo this morning. He doesn’t know what to do.
“Grogu, go get Axe,” Koska tells him, “We are alright. Go get Axe. He’s probably at the Forge.”
Grogu nods and begins running as fast as his little legs will carry him. No one is out because it’s food time, but he runs to the Forge because it’s close and he knows the Armorer is there too. She can help too if Axe is gone.
As he enters the tunnel to the Great Forge, Grogu begins panting and screaming, “AASSSS!!!!”
The hammering stops as he continues to scream Axe’s name. “AASSSS!!!! AASSSS!!!! AASSSS!!!!”
“What is he yelling about?” one of the younger armorer’s asks as Grogu stops and looks around, “AASSSS!!!!”
Finally, he sees Axe Woves high up on a beam over the Forge. He’s so tired, but he has to get help for Ragnar and Koska.
“AASSSS!!!!” he screams using the Force to up the volume of his cry. Axe looks down, “What is he screaming about?”
The Armorer approaches him, “Din Grogu, what do you need?”
Grogu point to Axe, “AASSSS!!!!”
“General Woves, I believe Grogu is asking for you.”
Grogu nods still pointing at Axe, “AASSSS!!!!”
The male Mandalorian uses his jet pack to land beside Grogu and The Armorer. He squats before Grogu, “Are you calling me ass?”
Grogu doesn’t have time for this, so he jumps onto Axe’s knees and touches his face, forcing an image of Koska and Ragnar in the pit., “Ka, Ra, patu!”
Axe jerks back from him then grabs him, “Where are they?”
Grogu points as Axe yells at those in the Forge to follow him to the new construction site. Grogu doesn’t feel as safe in Axe’s arms as he does in Dad’s or Momma Bo’s, but he knows Axe wouldn’t drop him on purpose cause Dad would kill him.
They land near the construction site, and Axe sets him on the ground as he jets down to Koska and Ragnar followed by several Watch and Owls.
They are lifted out and Grogu runs to Koska, collapsing on her lap. He’s so tired, but he has to make sure the biggest one’s baby that Koska carries is alright. Koska hugs him, “Thank you little one.”
The baby is alright and Grogu slumps against Koska, exhausted, as Dad and Momma Bo arrive.
Axe Woves turns to Dad, “Your kid calls me Ass.”
Momma Bo snorts and covers her mouth with her hand while Dad looks at him and asks, “Is he wrong?”
There is a tense moment before Axe laughs, “Dank Farrick Din Djarin, you are an ass.”
Grogu laughs with everyone else and screams, “Daaaawt ffarrrr.”
Dad turns to Axe, “Thanks for teaching my kid to curse Woves.”
Grogu blows a raspberry because Dad uses that term all the time. Everyone laughs as Axe stutters. They get Koska and Ragnar on stretchers. Grogu won’t let go of Koska, so Momma Bo, Dad, and Axe follow until they get to the medical tent. The doctor scans Koska and tells everyone she’s alright. Ragnar broke his ankle in the fall, but it will be healed in a few days with the new bacta wraps they have.
Koska hugs him, “Thank you little one. Thank you so much for getting us help so quickly.”
Grogu smiles at her, “Patu.”
