Sometimes she thought something was wrong with her…other people didn't seem to love things the way that she did. They didn't watch the same movies over and over, wearing out the VHS tape and then panicking and sobbing until their aunt and uncle bought a new copy (and a backup copy for when she inevitably wore that one out too.) And she didn't think their hearts did a little flip in their chests, their whole body lighting up with excitement whenever they saw books about the things they loved, or when they saw copies of those VHS tapes (or later, DVDs) in the store. They didn't make up their own little stories about the characters or scour the internet for art other people had made about the thing they loved. In fact, she was pretty sure that most people just…watched stuff. And read books. And then they moved on with their lives.
