Lindsey sucked his teeth. ‘Perhaps. Perhaps not. I’d like to think the Scourge of Europe is amenable to reason.’ Spike laughed bitterly, flashing teeth covered in his own blood. He opened his mouth to reply, but a voice behind Lindsey made the words die on his lips.
‘I would be…’ The thick brogue echoed throughout the warehouse. Lindsey turned to see Angelus rising to his feet, wiping his mouth of a droplet of blood neatly with his finger, before sucking the liquid down. Spike froze, staring at his former Sire with wide eyes. ‘That was, until you decided torturing William here was the best way to get a hold of me.’Spike is at a loss. Fighting with Angel, he is torn between his feelings and thoughts of his relationship with him, souled and unsouled. When Xander, Giles and Dawn come to LA, he is forced to face those feelings. And when Lindsey uses him as bait to trap Angel, and rip the soul from his body, he is forced to face them even more.
