Jan had been crushing on the bassist Nace for a while now, he had on the occasion let himself fantasize what could be.
However that soon ended.
The jokers were in an interview when the question ‘how their better halves have taken the news that they will now be spending a lot of time abroad.’ Popped up
Jan answered simply stating his cat cried which was sad, but true
Bojan was having a whole conversation with himself talking about his “imaginary other half” who was sad but it hadn’t mattered because she was imaginary either way
Next up was Kris, who simply stated that his better half also traveled a lot and that she was happy for them either way
Then there was Nace, Jan had been confident that Nace wasn’t dating anyone. He was wrong. Nace said that his other half would also most likely be in Liverpool with them. And even though Nace had mentioned this slightly he never had said that it would be his girlfriend joining them.
Jan was so busy trying to process what Nace had just said, that he could barely make out Jure calling the jokers his other half .
Even though he was a bit bitter, it was to be expected that such a pretty, smart and talented man already had someone.
As he pushed the not very straight thoughts away he started approaching Nace and said with a slight smirk
‘I didn’t know you had a girlfriend.’
‘ I didn’t either.’
‘Oh. Wait what??’ Jan responded, he was a bit confused
‘You don’t?’
‘Nope, I do however have a boyfriend.’
‘Slay.’
WHY DID I JUST SAY SLAY, SLAY IS SUCH A WEIRD THING TO SAY IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS. Jan thought to himself
Although he was quickly snapped out of his contemplating thoughts by the laughter coming from Nace’s side
After a bit more chatting they all went their separate ways back to their respective homes, and Nace would probably go back to his appartement where his boyfriend was probably waiting for him
Jan had to almost slap himself to stop this. It’s silly, having a crush on your best friend.
Later that day while he was getting ready for bed he picked up his phone and noticed a notification on WhatsApp
Nacko: Hey are you okay? You seemed a bit off when the subject of my boyfriend popped up I hope I didn’t make you feel uncomfortable
Jan responded with
Me: Nah it’s fine, I’m just a bit tired that’s all.
He was about to put his phone down when he saw the three dots appear and dissapear to then reappear
Nacko: okay then sleep tight :) ❤️
A red heart. He had to physically stop himself from blushing because this man already had a loving boyfriend. And Jan wasn’t about to become a homewrecker.(or was he??) So Jan quickly responded
Me: thanks and good night to you to ❤️
