Work Text:
Say yes to me, please my darling Angel
“We could have been us.”
The pleading words of someone so much in love having been uttered
The words spoken not out of haste, not in waste, only the truth stuttered
The answer though, not what expected, perhaps because the relationship had been neglected
Some time had passed, not that it mattered
For those having been together since time itself began
Their paths having diverged, on Heaven and on Earth
Keeping tabs on the other though, as it was totally worth
The regrets, of the missed opportunity
The very kind of loving and perfect unity
They could have had, the us, as it were
Perhaps it was never really in the cards
But, now, here they were both together again
Back on the very planet, where they had began
Their journey together as, well, friends
Something brewing there beneath, never to end?
Feeling daring, the Demon never too scary
Decided to to ask the same question again
After all, having time alone, without his best friend spent
Realising something, it was not as it was to be meant
Being alone, without his other half
The one having owned his heart
Perhaps even from the very start
Of time of the universe, so long ago
And so, it was time to pop the question once again
The one feared, scary, emotional and full of sensation
But the courage was somewhere however found
Stating the few words all over in his minds soon spoken out loud
“Will you marry me my darling dear Angel?”
