Summary
1806 - Darcy Sr is going through the post in his study. Two letters bring separate issues that need to be talked about. His eyes are opened to the nasty ways of his wayward godson. Oh, and his son needs a wife to carry on the Darcy legacy.
1808 - Miss Elizabeth Bennet is playing with her young cousins in the park when she spots a young boy in danger of being hit by a spooked horses hooves. The boy turns out to be a Viscount, she gets severely hurt for her troubles. Mr George Darcy brings her to his home, closer to Hyde Park than hers, and cares for her.
She is introduced to his brother and sister-in-law, who are daughterless and in desperate need of chaperoning one in society. Mrs Bennet is ready to let her least favourite daughter go and be someone else's problem.
Two years later she is still wild and free and a lover of nature but has sharpened the tools available to her - and now in possession of a sizeable dowry - she becomes the darling of the ton. Wickham is back and tries, once again, to insinuate himself in Darcy's family by trying to woo Elizabeth and will use any means necessary...
