"Okay. So I'm having company. But the rule is that I can't show who it is." He laughs. He stops walking and adjusts the angle so it's more flattering. "Trust me on this. You don't want to miss it."]

[Video Description: Max is holding the camera down at the ground while he opens the door. It's silent for a moment before a voice with a filter over it speaks up.
"You know we can just edit it so it's impossible to tell it's me, right?" The filtered voice laughs.
Max's voice comes through unfiltered. "Ah, yeah... Does that mean I can do... This?" The camera whips up to reveal a blobbed out form. The filter comes back on.
"Come on, Max. This is just going to cause more work in the long run, you know?" Whoever it is sounds amused as they walk in, past Max.
Max flips the camera into selfie mode and grins before ending the video.]

[Video Description: Max is holding the phone to face him again as he watches something on the other side, he's sat on the couch. He's smiling and holding back a laugh. "You look so stupid, right now."
The modulated voice speaks back. "Yeah well thank god they can't see any of what I'm doing then."
It goes silent for a short while before Max bursts into laughter, accidentally pressing something on the screen. The video only manages to catch the start of his next sentence, "oh fu-"]

[Video Description: The camera is facing the blobbed out person, their figure is indistinguishable through the shape. They're stood against, or at least near, a kitchen countertop.
"We need to give you a name. I can't just keep calling you company." Max says from behind the camera.
"I don't know. I think anything I would come up with would make it too obvious who I am. And that's not the aim of this, is it?" The modulated voice seems amused. Max hums in response.
"I could call you..." Max trails off, clearly trying to think of a nickname. "Babe."
The ensuing silence is enough of a tell as to the other person's opinion.
"Okay fine. How about... Mine?" The tone is enough evidence to know that from behind the camera, Max is winking. The person throws something at Max.
"You're an asshole." The amusement was enough to show through the filter placed on the voice. Max lifted the object to the camera.
"Did you really just throw a roll of kitchen paper at me?"
"There's more where that came from. So don't try me."]

"He left his phone in the kitchen." It's the modulated voice. They laugh. "You need a nickname for me. Uhm. Let's chose one together before he gets back in here."
The camera sweeps over the sides of Max's kitchen space. It's clean, but sparse. A hand pops into frame and grabs a spoon. "There you go. Call me spoon. Let's confuse the shit out of him." The voice, now known as spoon, laughs before tucking the spoon into a drawer and ending the video.]

[Video Description: Max once again holds the camera at his face, he's laying on the couch with a blobbed out shape under his chin.
"Have you even told them what this is for, yet?" Spoon asked.
Max laughs. "No. It's more fun watching them be idiots while we know what's happening." His head dips down so his nose touches the blob. Spoon laughs. "why did you pick spoon for your name, though? Of all the things? You could have at least had some fun with it. Make it a clue or something."
"How do you know it's not a clue?" Spoon's amused tone again gets through the modulation. "I could have some deep history with spoons and you'd never know. Now that's what I call being a bad " the audio cuts out for a while before Spoon is heard laughing.
"I'm the bad " it cuts out again, and max's mouth is covered by a blob."?? No, you're the bad " it cuts out again as a hand emerges from Spoon's blob to cover Max's mouth.
"No! It's too early for those details yet!"
"Too early?!" Max is grinning. "You were the one that mentioned it first!" The video stops shortly after they start laughing again, modulation covering Max's laugh too.]

"What're you laughing at?" Max asks. Spoon's laughter simmers down slightly.
"Just something I read. Here, don't show them." They say and the camera is directed to the floor as Max reads it, too. He then also laughs a little.
The camera doesn't move from the floor even when the laughter dies down. A moment of silence passess before Max says something barely audible to the camera.
"Is... ready for... in?" Faint static fills the ensuing silence.]

[Video Description: Max is once again in the living room, wandering around the space, but he's not focusing on anything in the room itself.
"Spoon isn't here." He levels a look directly at the camera. "I still think that's a stupid fucking name, by the way." He goes back to walking around the space. "They're handling something in the other room." Max waves a hand dismissively. "Just wanted to say that like. You know those times in assemblies where they tell you all sorts of bullshit about seizing the opportunity as soon as you can and you're just sat there like 'this is bullshit' because it is? Well. Turns out it's not. This is one of those times. And recording it all is supposed to be a fun way of documenting it, with the reveal at the end for, again, fun." Max has stopped pacing at this point. He's looking at something ahead of him, unseen to the camera. "This opportunity wasn't ever going to arrive again."
A blur of color is seen in frame for a second, coming at Max before the camera is cut.]

"-nd clearly you don't understand the importance of the music in Minecraft because there's so much atmosphere that comes from the music alone." There's a small clattering and Max flips the camera into selfie mode. He's smiling as Spoon continues. "I mean. I can't believe you played Minecraft - which I appreciate, don't get me wrong - but without music? Really? You're missing the inherent nostalgia factor that comes with playing it with music. You never forget the first time this song comes on naturally while you're playing."
Max doesn't say anything, but his smile does grow.
"Are you recording this, you dick?" Spoon sounds amused and Max laughs, the camera being pressed into his shoulder. "What am I going to do with you?" Spoon's voice gets closer.
Max hums. "I could think of so many things. But the camera is still on." There's laughter as spoon takes it, the screen gets blacked out and then the video ends.]

Max laughs slightly before nodding. "I think your friends would kill me if the reveal happened any later. Specifically Steph." The camera is moved back slightly and Richie lifts his head up so his face is visible. A shit eating grin is present despite the fatigue. The video ends.]
