Work Text:
Berry and Supa were in front of each other, both dead inside and traumatized due to the Dream Terror. Berry really wanted to have her arms again. She asked the question of trading body part for body part so that the two can use their talents again. "..Listen, Berry. I want this as much as you do, but..." Berry's squirrel ears perked up at the red bear's words. "...I don't know if this is the right thing to do."
"Su, O-Of course it is." Berry replies, acting brave about this, but on the inside she doesn't want to be hurt again. "If I can't have my family proud of me for doing something I was finally good at, then what's the point?..." Supa thought about it. This girl's family really wanted her to be a pianist. Besides, It doesn't take arms to skate. And Supa really missed that. He missed his talent. "...Okay, sure." He eventually says. Berry just lightly smiles before asking Supa to grab an amputation tool.
Berry slightly mutters under her breath. This was gonna be painful. Supa slowly, gently pushes on Berry's leg. As he carefully cut, Berry whimpers in pain as blood started to stow and her flesh was being torn with the device. "S-Sorry," He whispers. "It's fine.." Berry smiles weakly. Supa then pushes a bit deeper, Berry trying to be as quiet as possible. Her high-pitched squeaks of pure agony and pain made Supa feel regretful.
He closes his eyes, and he tries to make himself pretend he's just cutting something else. But as his eyes shut harder, Berry screams louder. Supa let go, and opened his eyes. Berry's left leg was amputated from her entire body. He grabbed a thread and needle and gently sewn Berry's leg to his thigh. He winces as he tears up, wishing he never made this choice. Berry watches as she softly cried at the amount of pain she herself went through.
"..Just.. One more leg.." Berry muttered in between sobs. Supa then started cutting off the right leg. Berry shut her mouth, fighting back screams of pure despair as tiny little winces escaped from her mouth. Supa just looked up at Berry, still sorry for the pain the both of them are going through. He starts to whisper to himself, 'It's gonna be fine, this will turn out okay..' While Berry's as silent as a mouse, only making squeaks when it hurts too much.
As soon as the red bear was done cutting the orange squirrel's other leg, he soon sewn the right leg to his right thigh. He soon started to cut off his own arm. Berry watched as she slowly started fantasizing about what other things she can use with that tool. But that's not important. What is is that Supa's giving his own arm to her. She'll finally get her title back. He'll finally get his title back. It'll be like pure, pure bliss once this is over.
Supa gave the arm to her using his other arm, softly whimpering at the hurt. Berry used her mouth to sew the arm to her elbow. Supa grabbed his own arm, pretending like he's holding Berry's. "..L-Let's do my other arm t-together." Berry shakes her head at the request. "I..I think I can do it with one arm," She shakily answered. She then picked up the tool and started to cut off Supa's other arm. The pure anxiety that she'd had cutting his arm. What if it goes wrong?.. What if he ends up dying because of her?
Those thoughts kept building up, yet it distracted Berry so that once she felt cushion on the device, she finally cut it. She then used Supa's new legs as a table for her new arm to sew the other arm in. After a while, they both looked at each other.
"..I sure hope we don't bleed to death," Supa said softly. "Me neither..." Berry replies. The two just stared at eachother with their cold, dead eyes, happy that their last moment in life is this. This is what they both dreamt that the would do once things go downhill. To be with each other one last time. "..Supa, I never really got to say this in the past, but..." Berry's sentence got interrupted by Supa's weak laugh. "I know, Berry. I love you too.."
"...I didn't know you knew.."
"It was obvious, Berry.."
The two just hugged each other, the both of them drifting slowly to the light at the same time. Their blood slowly dripped from their wounds as they slept. The whole hospital bed was coated in blood, as the two peacefully die.
They put their limbs on the wrong way.
