"What happened this time." Donnie spoke up, not looking up as he heard Raph walk in.
"The usual. Beat up thugs, maybe run into some kraang but nothing too big." Raph answered seating in the chair he knew Donnie had taken out for him.
"I see, and yet you can still somehow manage to get all bloodied and bruised each time." Donnie muttered, finally looking up to glance at Raph's injuries.
"It's nothing much alright!" Raph replied defensively, "The purple dragons are just some huge pain in the asses."
Donnie hummed in agreement as he stood up to get brand new bandages from the supply closet.
"You know Raph, if you keep continuing to use up my bandages this quick, we'll have nothing left." Donnie grumbled as he looked around in the closet, seeing the lack of bandages and other medical supplies. "Would it hurt to at least try to get less bloodied up?"
"Hey you know it's not my fault! They asked for it, so I give it."
"Sure, but you don't have to go so far to the point where your knuckles bleed."
Raph huffed out a breath of air and said nothing else as he allowed Donnie to tend to his arm, looking aimlessly around the lab, a calming silence settling around them.
----
"Shit." Raph forced out as he felt a surge of white hot pain course though his arm, from his probably dislocated shoulder to his fingertips as he tried moving it.
He stared at the closed door of Donnie's lab entrance, staring down at the door handles, struggling to just open one side of the door. He grunted out in frustration and gave up on it, as Leo was already side eyeing him from the corner where he was reading his Space Heroes comics.
So he knocked on Donnie's lab door instead.
Aggressively.
And he stood outside for a couple of seconds before an annoyed Donatello walked out of his lab, opening his mouth to ask about something before his eyes darted to the way Raph's left arm sagged a little too unnaturally.
"Raph. What, happened." Donnie asked. "How in fuck's sake did you dislocate your arm?!" He whisper-shouted at him, ushering the red bandana turtle inside his lab and shutting the door behind them.
"Uh... Fishface?" Raph replied.
"What?!" Donnie exclaimed as he pushed Raph down harshly into a seat before grabbing a miniature x-ray he made, and scanning Raph's left shoulder. "Why didn't you call us?"
"I thought I could handle it on my own okay?"
"Clearly you can't." Donnie retorted, fingers gently feeling around the arm to try to find the socket and the bone.
"You're just gonna set it right? No big deal?" Raph asked.
"Yep. But it might hurt. So maybe brace yourself." Donnie murmured as he held Raph's shoulder in place.
"On the count of three okay?" Donnie murmured.
Raph doubted it would hurt much but braced himself just in case, sucking in a breath as Donnie counted down to one.
POP.
"FUCK." Raph shouted, as his vision when white for a second there.
Man that had hurt, like a bitch.
He barely even realised the fact that Donnie had at some point, hugged him, muttering an apology.
"It's fine. I'm fine." Raph quickly replied, trying to calm his twin brother down through the pain he indubitably felt. "It's not so bad."
And as if to prove it he moved his shoulder, which overall, felt sore but no longer painful.
"Whatever you say meathead." Donnie uttered.
"Nerd."
Donnie huffed out a laugh.
"Fuck you. Next time, just fucking call someone. I do not want to relocate an arm anytime in the near or far future you hear me?"
"And what if I do?" Raph questioned.
"I'll snitch and tell Leo." Donnie threatened.
Raph gasped dramatically.
"Like you would fucking dare. If you actually do that I'll snitch too."
"What do you possibly have over me huh?"
"Your all nighters."
"Oh fuck you."
----
"Raffela, this is literally the second this week." Donnie complained, as Raph entered his lab again for the second time since the time he dislocated his shoulder.
"I didn't get injured this time alright." Raph muttered.
"Then why'd you come in here?" Donnie asked, looking back at his project he was doing since he didn't have to tend to any injuries.
"I'm just you used to coming in here after patrolling with Casey okay?" Raph murmured, "And anyway, can't I just talk to you without having to come in here with an excuse for you to fuss over me?"
Donnie stayed silent as he was continued working on the circuits of his project.
"You know, Leo keeps saying how you always spend time in your lab, he actually won't shut up about it. And he keeps saying how you only come out just to eat." Raph continued.
"Oh so you're here to just nag at me?" Donnie questioned, "Being Leo's messenger now?"
"What? No!" Raph replied, "What I'm saying, is that maybe you should spend, I don't know, sometime with your brothers, instead of holing up your self in the lab."
"Well you aren't the type to say things like this Raffela."
"Yeah well, Leo won't shut the fuck up." Raph grumbled.
"When does he ever do?"
They shared a laugh at that one.
"Sorry, for uh earlier. I was just feeling a little cranky today." Donnie apologized.
"Eh don't sweat it. Just, you know, spend some time with us alright? I'm sure Mikey would love it." Raph replied.
Donnie sighed and placed his tools down before standing up.
"Alright."
----
After that, it became a routine.
Raph would just drop by Donnie's lab everytime he went out to patrol with Casey, hang around there for a long while, before going back to his room. Sometimes he just slept there and he's glad Donnie doesn't mind.
And Raph patrolled with Casey three times in a week.
So Donnie would always have to bring out an extra chair because he knows Raph would drop by his lab, and talk or even play board games.
They both liked it.
Though they would never say that to the other. It was a silent agreement that they would both hang out everytime after Raph finished patrolling with Casey. Sometimes it was Donnie having to tend to Raph's nonstop injuries. Sometimes they would just be having fun and play games neither if then knew the other played.
(Raph and no idea how good Donnie was at Subway Surfers.)
They basically just hung out in general.
And it was a silent agreement that they both liked it.
