Chapter Text
The making of tea is simply chemistry, so it can be treated like an experiment of sorts. The time I have spent in Sussex with my Watson has enabled me to make a longitudinal study, from which the following conclusions may be drawn.
First, a strong cup is best mid-morning.
Second, only apply a dash of milk, although this is a most imprecise measurement.
Third, and most important, serving tea in our warm kitchen, after a cold walk, with a plate of biscuits on the tray, is a foolproof recipe for a contented Watson and, by extension, a contented detective.
