Summary
Elizabeth von Nuremberg’s engagement to the Crown Prince was broken for a baron’s daughter.
She was seventeen when it happened. She had been promised the Empire but that was taken from her.
Now her parents must look for someone to marry her after the humiliation of being abandoned by the Prince so she doesn’t become a spinster, since noble ladies marry young and every year is crucial.
So she marries a Nuremberg cousin. But nothing is always how they want. And Elizabeth will learn that (all over again) in a painful manner. As if fate was laughing at her the whole time.
