Chapter Text
"I'm so excited to see Purple!" Blue exclaimed excitedly.
"Yeah! This is going to be so fun!" Red added.
"This will be the best week ever!" Green cheered.
Yellow and Second were hanging behind the others, watching with smiles as they showed their excitement for the upcoming week.
The color gang decided it had been a while since they'd seen their friends, so they got together and talked about it.
They made arrangements to have an extended sleepover and after talking to Alan, they set off to walk there the night after.
Now they were walking the dusty streets of Stickville to Purple and K.O.'s house. They arrived there and Red stepped up to the doorstep and instantly began spamming the doorbell. Purple was quick to open it and began yelling at Red in a playful tone.
Purple led them to the room they were going to be staying in and they dropped all their stuff they brought with them off.
Red then asked if he could go to the park they passed on the way. "Only if you bring someone with you," Yellow told him.
"I'll go!" Blue jumped in.
Yellow nodded and shouted, "Be safe!" as they ran out the door.
"Race ya," Blue told Red, jogging past him.
"Oh, you're on!" Red said and began sprinting and passed Blue. He was small but fast. The others often picked on him(playfully) for acting younger but he didn't care. He had more advantages.
Red was now far ahead of Blue. He turned his head to stick his tongue out at him but then slammed into something and was tossed to the ground.
"Sorry-" He cut off as he saw who it was.
In front of him stood none other than The Dark Lord himself. He was grinning down at him manically.
Red got all too vivid flashbacks of their last encounter.
The only difference now was there were no red wristbands.
Dark reached out and Red flinched, putting his hands in front of his face to protect him. Dark grabbed his hair and pulled him towards him as Blue entered the alleyway.
Blue caught sight of the scene and ran over to help Red.
Dark saw this and kicked him away before he could get close enough to grab Red.
Dark grabbed Red's hair tighter and he let out a yelp.
Blue stood up achingly slow and something flashed behind his eyes that was all too familiar. Protectiveness.
He sprinted over to punch at Dark but it was intercepted and Blue was kicked harder this time and he hit a wall with a sickening crack and fell to the ground, unmoving.
"Blue!" Red cried out to his unresponsive friend.
Dark pulled his hair viciously and Red took a sharp breath of pain. He took a full breath of air, preparing to scream.
He knew if he shouted loud enough, the others would hear him.
Dark must've noticed this and clamped a hand over his mouth. Red bit it and Dark let go, cradling his hand.
Red took another gasp of air and was tackled from behind, his forehead smacking the cement on the ground. He went limp and his eyes closed as he went unconscious.
Right before he fully succumbed to the darkness, he heard Dark say, "Finally."
