Chapter 1: Boarding The Titanic

Chapter Text

Fyodor Dostoyevsky, a well known criminal. He wasn't the type to fight, he was the type to manipulate others for his needs. He was the brains behind his operations; without him, most of these disasters wouldn't happen. He established a name by hacking into many important organization's systems. He was so close to his goal when that stupid detective arrested him. Osamu Dazai, cheeky little bastard.

Now Fyodor's plans are forced to take a break since the government was chasing after him. He managed to get a ticket on the so called largest and unsinkable ship, the Titanic. The ship would go from Tokyo to England, where his accomplice, Agatha Christie would help him afterwards. She is still quite manipulative, so he would have to be careful.

Nikolai Gogol, a well known aristocratic clown. He drew attention everywhere he went, because of his clown costume; aside from that he was quite beautiful. He wasn't the smartest man on Earth but he had quite a high intelligence. His smile held his self confidence, his damn smirk always had anyone looking over their shoulders to watch out for his pranks. He dragged his friend, Sigma on the Titanic so they could try an English breakfast; rich people problems I suppose. Nikolai always had packets of balloons in his bags, which is why he and Sigma couldn't fly; because Nikolai would always blow the balloons before they board the plane which isn't allowed.

Sigma on the other hand was a man of elegance, he was graceful yet he was stuck dealing with Nikolai's antics. Their parents were neighbours so naturally the two boys were forced to spend time with each other. Nikolai would always push Sigma on the swings until he started crying. Nonetheless they were still good friends. Sometimes Sigma found Nikolai funny. Only sometimes though.

Of course the two men booked a first class suite, why wouldn't they? Sigma didn't want to share a room with Nikolai but they made sure to be atleast have their rooms next to each other. The wind was blowing strongly, not too strong to the point it would be a tornado warning, but perfect for a boat to set sail. Nikolai was tired of the other passengers boarding before him, he waited impatiently as the attendants called for the many passengers. He started to play with his set of poker cards when the wind started to howl again. The Joker card, his favourite card, flew helplessly towards a certain Russian man.

Fyodor's gentle hands caught the card, his violet eyes examining the card. Fyodor didn't want to draw attention towards him, he was too tired for that.

"Sorry, could I have that back please?"

Nikolai tried to hide his giggles, he had never seen such a mysterious man who was dressed in such warm clothing, especially in broad daylight. The man had a fluffy white hat, Nikolai remembered hearing about it from his mother, it was called a ushanka? The man also had a black cape on, with some fur around the collar. He wore a white shirt and white pants with lilac accents on the details; he also had brown boots on. His raven hair was quite long, not as long as Nikolai's white hair but still quite long.

"Pardon, you seem to be in thought right now," answered Fyodor. Nikolai's train of thought was quickly cut off when the man's Russian accent replied to him. Fyodor handed the card back to Nikolai.

"Thank you, my name is Nikolai Gogol. May I know yours?"

Before Fyodor even opened his mouth, the cruise attendant called for the first class passengers. Sigma pulled Nikolai by the hand onto the ship, leaving Fyodor in his thoughts. What an interesting man, extravagant and funny yet laced with a bit of class. Fyodor questioned why Nikolai was wearing a clown costume but he just shrugged it off. It was finally his turn to board the Titanic. He managed to snag a second class ticket. As he boarded the ship his mind wandered off to that special clown, Nikolai Gogol.
