Chapter Text

October 21st 2018 - Post / Shibuya Arc

Yuuji crumbled to the floor, letting large gasps of air weave through his body.

There was nothing he could really see through his blurred vision but he knew, that Shibuya was long gone.

He yelled out for Sukuna, to ask the man why he had done this, gone and destroyed Yuuji’s life for absolutely no reason at all.

In all honesty what was there for Yuuji to live for? God knew nothing was ever going to get better anyway.

Yuuji’s main concern was figuring out why he was spared, perhaps to continue being a vessel for him? Dehumanizing.

The boy spun when there was a loud gush of wind that pierced the air, and in an instant he felt his world slowing down as if time had warped, his nerves calmed and he felt a shiver run down his spine.

“Is this really it?” Yuuji muttered, fading in and out of consciousness slowly but smoothly.

The last thing he could process was a distant sound of air gushing passing over him as his body fell to who knows where.

-

Hizashi Yamada would say he was a quite solid guy, always tending to be around the entire school! He loved learning more about the such diverse students who attended UA, and he especially loved his colleagues who he had developed a lot with.

So there was no discipline in his mind as he barged into Class 1-A’s current class period, causing most if not all the students to yelp and flinch in shock. Even Aizawa had managed a look of surprise onto his usual angsty expression.

Hizashi snickered as he saw Aizawa’s expression turn into one of pure pique, before groaning in an exasperated manner. “What are you doing here, Yamada?”

“Nothing! I just wanted to check out how my favorite friends were doing!” He responded, winking at the class who squealed in honor.

“Well thank goodness we were just about to head outside to practice in the open fields we were scheduled for.” Aizawa muttered sarcastically, giving a glare to the students that sent a message of ‘get ready now!’.

The class scrambled to the locker rooms and Aizawa scurried out alongside them, Hizashi following like a lost puppy trying to find comfort. Aizawa giving two confused looks before accepting the extra adult following around.

Once the pair had finally gotten outside most of the class were waiting for further instructions, some huddling up in groups to speak about irrelevant topics.

“Alright,” Aizawa started, not caring about the rest of the kids who hadn’t arrived yet. “You lot will be paired up, and ya’know basic practice with your quirks, don’t do to much or to little, any questions?”

Izuku hesitantly raised his hand, Aizawa gave him a slight nod to continue, “Mister Aizawa, why is Present Mic outside with us?”

“Thats an irrelevant question, any others?” Aizawa grumbled sending a look towards Izuku who laughed nervously.

“Sir…” Iida gulped, glancing behind the two adults, followed by the rest of the students who began to murmur disruptively. Aizawa hummed, and Iida continued, “What is that?”

“What is what?” The adult replied, slowly turning behind him, Hizashi following his move before both eyes trailed over a gust of light.

Aizawa froze and immediately tensed up, backing up ready to call for emergency assistance. “Everyone hold back.” Hizashi cursed.

“Iida go inform the pro heroes in the building, now!” Aizawa demanded, the student didn’t hesitate to run off towards the building.

Suddenly, a piercing scream was heard through the land as a boy, not looking any older than 18, plummeted through the air, heading towards the ground.

Everyone backed up and remained in their positions, waiting for any further advance of the possible villian work.

The boy’s land was brutal, definitely causing some sort of injury to his body, but there was no reason to believe that the stranger was innocent.

At the same moment loud voices were ringing from the building, clearly associated with heroes who had come to further insist.

“Whats going on?!” Nemuri shouted, nearly stumbling to the ground due to how fast she was approaching alongside the other heroes like, Vlad king, Cementoss, and even All might.

Principal Nezu on the other hand was calmly approaching the scene.

Aizawa fumbled over his own words, how could he explain a situation like this? “Well, the kids noticed this beaming light that had formed high above the ground, and when I caught sight of it this kid descended from it.” He frantically explained, pointing towards the unconscious teen on the ground.

Nemuri cursed under her breath, before going to explain the situation to the other heroes who were clearly in a state of confusion.

Nezu, by that point, had long already made it to the point of destination and was rubbing his head obnoxiously, clearly very lost in the moment.

“So…you’re telling me, this kid fell out of the sky out of nowhere…?” The hybrid animal chastised, unconvinced by Aizawa’s story.

Aizawa nodded and gave the principal a serious look to assure him that this wasn’t some sort of supernatural setup.

“Then throw him back up!” Nezu gushed, Aizawa promptly scolded him for acting so foolish even if Nezu was in the upper position, there was no need for joking around like that.

Hizashi let out a deep chuckle, “Even if we threw him back up, the portal magician thingie, it’s, it’s gone.” The blonde remarked, unintentionally getting everyone’s attention.

“Great.” Aizawa murmured, face palming dramatically, Nezu had squeaked and gotten on a position on top of Vlad King’s shoulder before clearing his throat to begin directing everyone.

He pointed directly at the scattered class 2-A, who still stood there, surprised by the sudden event, “Class 2-A! You all will head inside for the sake of your safety, meanwhile, I need one of the adults to come help in assisting bringing the boy inside for interrogation.”

Just as Aizawa was about to head inside with his class he heard his name being called, “Aizawa you will be needed to help supress the boy’s quirk if he wakes up.”

“If he even has one…”Bakugou grumbled from the distance, earning a shove from Kirishima who quirked a brow at him. Aizawa sighed and quickly followed along the other pro’s who were managing quite alright with thrashing the young teenager inside.

-

The boy had been set up rather uncomfortably in a small room kept for interviews, they had removed everything except for a table and the chair the boy was interlocked with.

Recovery girl had been called in a while ago to make sure the kid wasn’t dying from some sort of brain bleeding he had developed from the fall, although Nezu insisted she didn’t fully heal him so he wouldn’t have an advantage in terms of strength if he turned out to be strong.

That would be nearly impossible, a kid standing against a bunch of pro heroes, but nevertheless there was still that possibility.

Detective Tsukauchi had been informed of the situation and called down to the building for the teenager’s interrogation.

While they waited for him, Nezu had called off classes for the day, it wasn’t like this was a mindblowing event, it was more of the fact that he wanted heroes to focus on surrounding areas incase anything like this were to happen again.

Meanwhile, most of the main teachers were sitting in the lounge room awaiting for the teen to rise, it didn’t seem like it would happen soon enough, and it was a few boring while wait as they couldn’t begin this interrogation without the boy awake. Obviously.

-

Hizashi was nearly on the verge of fading out into obscurity before a loud yelp had rang out through his two ears, causing him to panic and tense up.

“Look! He’s moving!” Fat gum squaked, slamming his hands on the center table where everybody was gathered up.

Aizawa had immediately stood and rushed out to go alert Tsukuachi, who had previously appeared to shake hands with the other’s before going off to check out the damage left outside, which was in all reality, not much.

Hizashi was very curious, maybe even nosy, he obviously wanted to know about everything that went on, especially with this boy who he seemed to take a liking towards, I mean in all honesty who wouldn’t?

So as Detective Tsukauchi and Aizawa scrambled downstairs towards the room they were keeping the boy in, Hizashi followed suit, rapidly.

Aizawa gave him a small glance as he shoved his way downstairs into the room.

Maybe it was the tensity of the entire situation but the three had all taken a huge gulp of air before unlocking the door to the room.

They were met with the sight of the boy from earlier, except now, he was conscious, and he stared up fondly at the adults as if happy to see them even though he may not have even recognized them at all.

Detective Tsukauchi cleared his throat before stepping foward of the three, “Hello there, my name is Naomasa Tsukauchi and I am a detective from the police corporation, I also help out with any problems related to UA. We don’t mean any harm alright?” He slowly introduced, speaking softly with a hitn of concern in his voice.

The teenager gulped and sheepishly nodded, opening his mouth to say something before momentarily shutting it.

“Awesome! Now would you mind giving me your full name and if you have so, your quirk?” Tsukuachi piped, smiling. The boy tilted his head to the side, seeming rather confused, as if he didn’t hear the question. As to which the detective asked, “Do you need me to repeat that, it’s okay if so—“

“No! I mean, no, I understand. My name is Yuuji Itadori.” The teen, Yuuji yelped, stuttering over his own words.

Tsukauchi just brightly grinned at him and wrote the information down onto his note pad he had brought along. Yuuji’s smile wavered and anyone could tell he was nervous.

“Okay, Yuuji, if you mind me calling you that?” Yuuji nodded, “Now, whats your quirk?” Tsukauchi repeated, glancing from his notepad back towards Yuuji who looked straight out of it.

A pause. The boy blinked, confused. “My… what?”

“Your quirk,” the detective repeated gently. “Your ability.”

The confusion deepened. “What the heck is a quirk?”

The silence that followed was heavy.

Aizawa finally spoke. “A quirk is a power—something you’re born with.”

The boy’s mouth parted slightly. “Then… I don’t have one.”

Tsukauchi scribbled something down, murmuring to himself.

“Age?”

“I’m—I’m not completely sure.”

His voice cracked on the last word, and for a moment, he looked like he might cry.

No one in the room quite knew what to say.

Aizawa stood still, to think a kid this old wouldn’t know the definition of a quirk? Especially when that was quite was society revolved around these days. That might have meant this kid was really behind in his outer surroundings. But why?

Tsukuachi chuckled awkwardly and wrote down ‘unknown’ onto his note pad, if this kid didn’t know his own quirk there’s no need to worry, for now atleast.
