Work Text:
As the ball hurtled through the air, made its way towards the mug on the counter. Before Mobius (Don, right) had a chance to react, the mug was smashed, the ceramic shards scattered across the counter and floor.
The sudden loud bang startled Mobius Don, who turned to see the damage caused.
Being a widowed parent is difficult, especially with children as naughty as they are. What can you do about it? They were in the age of trouble. Hell, he probably did the same things to his mother. God bless her, now he understands.
This must be his karma.
"Boys, what did I tell you about playing soccer inside the house?" Mobius groaned, but he doesn't sound angry at all. Too tired for that.
With a sigh, he realised now he had to clean up the mess left behind.
"Darn, that was my favorite mug." He complained.
The boys were nowhere to be found, surely hiding from him.
"These kids..."
Mobius went to get the broom and shovel when he stopped dead in his tracks because of a small green glow, which seemed all too familiar.
Could it be...? It can't be, right?
The cup was as good as new, as if nothing had happened.
"Loki"
That name...
Mobius couldn't hold the wide smile spreading on his lips.
"Did you just-?" He said aloud, as if someone else was there with him."That's definitely cheating. Look at you, showing off your new tricks like that... such a power move."
He checks the mug in amazement.
"What about the free will of the cup?" He laughed, wiping away the tear that threatens to fall at the sudden feeling of sadness due to the circumstances.
Other people would think he's crazy if they knew Mobius sometimes talks to himself (a recent habit).
Who cared anyway?
"Thanks you."
And Loki heard it.
A few minutes of comfortable silence passed until....
"Don't you want to help me tidy up the house?"
