Work Text:
“I thought they closed this place down…”
Nica’s voice shakes just a little even as she wheels herself into the old schoolhouse, all the old memories flooding back. Tiffany’s hand rests on her shoulder as they make their way deeper inside, her voice gentle.
“Talk to me Nica…”
So she does. Nica does. She talks about every taunt, every painful comment people saw fit to make. She would, in time, be fine, she knew that, but Tiffany’s soft growl helps. The woman is wild, deeply feeling and full of emotions… so Nica knows when she finishes she had to stop what might happen.
“I’ll be okay Tiff, I just… hate this place.”
Tiffany’s laugh rings in the empty hallway.
“I’m just mad I ever knew you…. They’d never have touched you then.”
