Work Text:
Fact: Yu Jimin is clingy.
It's something Minjeong has noticed about her since the beginning, back when they were acquaintances, then friends, and now, girlfriends slash roommates.
After they became official, Jimin pulled strings with her friends, using connections with the college administrators to get herself transferred into Minjeong's dorm room. After an arduous day of moving in, they started out the first night with their two beds in separate rooms.
Jimin couldn't even last a night with that arrangement.
Late that night, Minjeong is awakened by the soft padding of feet down the hall and into her room. Exhausted from helping Jimin move in and stressed about tomorrow's classes, Minjeong would normally be annoyed at the interruption of her sleep. But the sight of Jimin, just barely illuminated by the faint glow of the moon from her open window, clutching her huge fluffy blanket in one hand and rubbing at her eyes with the other. Her hair is a mess from tossing and turning.
A low whisper. "Minjeong, can I sleep in here tonight?"
Too tired to ask questions, Minjeong merely nods, mumbles a tired "sure," and shifts to one side in bed to make room. She falls back asleep before Jimin climbs into bed next to her, and wakes up the next day at dawn to Jimin spooning her from the back, leg slung carelessly over her hips and an arm keeping her close.
The second bed in the other room stays unused, and this becomes their regular sleeping arrangement.

Wednesdays are their designated grocery shopping days. Unfortunately Minjeong and Jimin are forced to walk twenty minutes to the closest supermarket as neither of them have their license yet.
When they start making their way home, Jimin insists on carrying everything, hefting three or four huge carrier bags full of groceries, and well, snacks that they probably don’t need but couldn't resist buying.
"Jimin, come on, just give me one bag," Minjeong objects. "You're going to hurt yourself like that."
"I'm fine. I can lift way heavier stuff," Jimin argues back, while very obviously straining to carry four bags with her left hand because she insisted on holding Minjeong's hand with the other.
"Give me that," Minjeong has to resort to brute force, attempting to snatch a bag away from Jimin.
Unfortunately she lets go of Jimin's hand to do so, and the older girl practically throws a tantrum in the middle of the street, despite being twenty-three and in college.
"Jimin stop! You're embarrassing us," Minjeong hisses.
"Just hold my hand," Jimin instructs, ignoring her mortification, getting the bags back under control and grabbing Minjeong's hand with her free one again.
Minjeong complies in exasperation, and they walk home, Jimin with a huge grin on her face despite having to carry four bags with her non-dominant hand by herself.
When they get home, Jimin discovers she has somehow sprained her wrist, receiving a scolding from Minjeong.
The injury takes two weeks to heal and Jimin swears she’s never been happier, because Minjeong takes extra care of her.

One of their shared classes is scheduled to be a late session, and it’s already late when they finish up. Luckily they’re in time to catch the last bus home. The bus is deserted except for them and Jimin chooses the spot they always sit in, the second-last row on the left.
As soon as the bus gets going, Jimin says, "I'm gonna take a nap."
"I'll wake you up when we're there," Minjeong tells her.
Jimin's arm slides behind her and wraps around her waist as she settles on Minjeong's shoulder. Despite being the taller of the two, she somehow manages to find a comfortable position. Minjeong automatically shifts to support her, and a few peaceful minutes pass in silence, Minjeong watching the outside world pass by over Jimin's head.
It’s not until Minjeong attempts to get out her phone to check the time and realizes her hand is occupied. She looks down to find Jimin's arm slotted through her own and holding her hand. She decides not to move to avoid waking her up.
She looks down at Jimin, making sure not to move. Jimin looks so peaceful, sleeping quietly with the slightest smile on the corner of her lips. Minjeong shifts slightly and she stirs as if in response, tightening the grip she has on Minjeong's waist.
Minjeong goes back to staring out the window.

Minjeong is hurrying to class, having been held back at her previous lecture to ask her professor about a project. This next class is the only one she shares with Jimin today, plus the professor doesn’t look kindly towards latecomers, so she really doesn’t want to end up any later than necessary.
As she dodges through crowds of people mingling on the grassy areas, her phone buzzes in her pocket and she fishes it out to see a call from Aeri, who she met through Jimin as they share more classes together.
“Hey, where are you?? Class is about to start and Jimin is grumpy!!”
“I’m not grumpy!” comes a very obviously grumpy yell in the background. Minjeong recognizes Jimin’s voice.
“I’m on my way! I’m literally two minutes away!”
“Hurry up! I need you to pacify your girlfriend; she’s taking out her anger on me!”
“Huh? What happened? Why is she angry??” Minjeong is mystified.
“I have no idea—ow!” The sound of a punch can be heard through the phone and Minjeong almost stops rushing in surprise. Was that what she thinks it was?
“Hurry up, Minjeong! I’m about to get killed over here!” The line goes dead after that.
Two minutes later, Minjeong thunders down the hallway and pauses, panting, in front of the doorway leading into her lecture hall. The door is open and she can see most of the seats are filled; thankfully the professor is nowhere to be seen.
She slips through the door and makes her way towards Aeri and Jimin, who have saved a seat for her. As she nears them, she can hear Aeri in a heated monologue directed towards Jimin, who is slumped in her chair with her arms crossed.
Aeri is lecturing and Jimin is too busy sulking to see her.
“…no idea what’s wrong with you today, but you’re so fucking miserable for no reason. Cut it out, I haven’t done anything wrong.”
Jimin mutters something that Minjeong can’t hear. She doesn’t want to see her girlfriend in such a dark mood anyway, so she pushes her way past the last few chairs and plops into the seat next to Jimin.
“Baby, why’re you mad?”
Jimin turns at the sound of her voice, and the change on her face is instantaneous and devastating. Her face lights up, the annoyed scowl disappearing as if by magic. She grabs Minjeong’s hand immediately, holding onto it like it’s a life preserver and she’s drowning in the ocean.
“Minjeongie, where were you? I thought you’d gotten lost!” she exclaims, completely ignoring Aeri who breaks off in surprise.
“Gotten lost—? Jimin, this is college?” Minjeong starts to explain but gives up when Jimin practically melts against her, arm sliding around her back as she cuddles into her side.
Next to them, Aeri is staring at them agape, taking in Jimin’s position and serene expression and Minjeong’s tolerance.
“Wait, all this time you were grumpy because your girlfriend was late ?!”

A few days later, their afternoon classes are cancelled due to a huge rainstorm, so Minjeong and Jimin have an entire afternoon of free time with nothing to do. They find themselves on Minjeong’s bed—their bed, actually—with Jimin’s laptop settled at the foot of the bed, watching a movie.
Jimin’s sitting against the headboard and Minjeong is on her lap, armed with a pile of blankets (because it’s autumn and turning chilly) and a package of gummy bears that Minjeong happens to have lying around.
Minjeong wants to stay like this forever. The movie is engaging, Jimin is holding her with one arm around her waist and the other playing with her free hand. She’s warm and comfortable on Jimin’s lap with the sweet taste of artificial strawberry in her mouth.
Jimin’s attention seems divided, half-listening to the movie while fiddling with Minjeong’s fingers, sweater paws tickling the back of her hand.
She pays no attention when Jimin’s hand slides below her hoodie, under the loose t-shirt underneath to rub slow circles on her hip, enjoying the warmth.
“Jimin, stop it,” she complains absentmindedly, still focused on the movie, when Jimin’s fingertips dance lightly over her hipbone, tickling, sliding lower.
“Mm,” Jimin hums, muffled against Minjeong’s hair.
She’s jolted out of focus when Jimin suddenly moves her legs apart, sliding Minjeong off her lap and between her legs. Minjeong’s eyes go wide when she slides down and feels the unmistakable hotness on her butt.
“Jimin,” she starts, twisting around, but is silenced by her girlfriend’s lips. They’re soft, warm, in sharp contrast to her hot tongue which almost immediately flicks out to lick along her bottom lip. She vaguely registers hands sliding around her body, pulling her closer, one slipping underneath her shirt to skim her bare back. It’s warm. She finds herself shivering anyway.
“J-Jimin,” she mumbles into the kiss, feeling suddenly dizzy.
Jimin’s lips leave her own and she finds herself caught in her girlfriend’s intense gaze.
“Can I?” she breathes earnestly, eyes eagerly scanning hers.
Minjeong can only nod wordlessly, and it’s like a dam has opened. Jimin can’t get enough of her, hands sliding everywhere, hot skin against hot skin. She’s not even doing anything, Jimin’s doing all the work, but the expression on her face says it all. She doesn’t need more, all she needs is physical touch.
Then Jimin’s tugging at her hoodie sleeve, fumbling in her haste. “Get this thing off,” she orders, and Minjeong is more than happy to comply.
Later, as she’s pinned under Jimin’s weight, every inch of her body pressed against the older girl’s, skilled fingers curling against her walls, Minjeong can’t decide which of them is feeling more pleasure.

“I’m sorry I’m so damn clingy,”
“D-do I… invade your personal space? I’m sorry…”
“No…,”
“No, Jimin I love you, clinginess and all… Please never change.”
...
“Minjeong,”
“Please never leave my side.”
