Summary
He’s trying to juggle his luggage, carry-on, and the piece of paper with his reservation information on it as he walks into the hotel when he crashes head-on into another person as they exit.
“Shit, I’m so sorry. I wasn’t lookin’, are you okay?” Tommy says as he drops the bags in his hand to reach down and extend his hand to the woman he’s managed to knock to the floor.
“No, no, it’s ok. I wasn’t paying attention either. I’m really fine,” the woman says as he braces her until she’s able to stand on her own two feet. He lets go of her arms and is brushing dirt off her when he hears her take a sharp intake of breath. “Tommy?”
He looks up in surprise at his name and comes face to face with Maria Wesley.
“Maria, hot damn. Of all the people I coulda run into,” Tommy babbles as his eyes range over her. “Shit, I swear you don’t look a day older than the last time I saw ya.”
IE: Tommy and Maria meet for the first time in 1995 when Tommy works as a Ranch Hand on Maria's family ranch for the summer. They meet again 11 years later in 2006, Will their love be strong enough to bring them back together?
