Chapter Text
“MERRY CHRISTMAS, EVERYBODY!”
Laughter rippled through the office as Alex stepped in, wearing his light-up-partly-inflatable-Rudolph Christmas sweater, his cheap plastic jukebox resting on his shoulders as it blared Christmas music. He was buzzing with excitement as if he was a little kid. Christmas had always been his favorite holiday - he had fond memories of singing Feliz Navidad and Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree with his family, before the divorce, when they all lived happily in Texas, eating chocolate chip cookies around the fireplace and yelling Spanish at each other.
“Alex, you look absolutely ridiculous, and I love it so much,” Ashley giggled, walking up to him. Ashley was his closest friend at work, and he grinned down at her. Around him, the law firm they worked out was still chuckling at his antics, and Alex was pleased his coworkers were down to party. Except, he knew, a certain stuck-up British blonde.
“Just wait,” Alex said with an evil grin. “It’s about to get a whole lot worse.”
