The day had finally come, the day Sebastian was going to confess to Ominis. Sebastian had been thinking about how to do it for months, to no avail, until he asked Poppy. He always knew Poppy had a knack for helping plan speeches and things, but he never knew she could start a speech so beautifully, that he almost cried just looking at it. With Poppy’s help,he got almost everything he needed to make his confession perfect, everything except a present for Ominis.
Sebastian had been looking around Hogsmeade for about an hour and still had yet to find anything for Ominis. Until it hit him. He had always been fascinated by Ominis’ eyes, the milky blue color of them contrasted well with the color of his thin,pink lips.Sebastian could stare at the other boys face for years and never stop thinking about the otherworldly beauty of him.
Right in front of Sebastian, was a small flower stand, selling bouquets of flowers.One in particular, however, caught his eye. A large bouquet of Milky blue and pink flowers that smelled heavenly.Sebastian bought them without a second thought.
Now all that was left to do was to get to where they were going to meet, on a small, grassy hill overlooking the ocean.Sebastian knew the spot would be wonderful to bring Ominis to, because it was quiet,calm,and breathtaking, just like him.
Ominis arrived at the spot exactly on time, like he always did. Sebastian was always one to notice minuscule details, like how Ominis was never late to anything, no matter what.
“Hello, Sebastian.”
“Hello, Ominis.”
“How has your day been,Sebastian?”
“It’s been well, apart from getting detention from Sharp for not paying attention. I accidentally dropped some Horklump Juice in my potion, and it started sparking and fizzling!”
In between laughter; Ominis managed to spit out:
“I guess you’ve taken the ‘Garreth approach’ to making potions!”
“I guess I have!”
After the laughter died down, Ominis spoke up.
“Sebastian, I do have a question.”
“Ask away,Ominis.”
“Why aren’t we just talking about this in the Undercroft? Is there a reason we are outside?”
Sebastian decided that there was no better time then now to confess.He quickly prepared himself and then spoke.
“Ominis, we have known each other since we were just getting our school supplies in Hogsmeade. But from the moment I met you, I knew that my life was different because of you. You are the most beautiful person I’ve ever met, inside and outside. If I am having a rough day, or feeling lonely, you always make me feel better. I wish to stay by your side forever, Ominis, I love you very much.I can understand if you do not feel this way, but even if that, I hope we can still stay friends forever.”
“…Sebastian, that was….Beautiful. I too wish to stay by your side, thank you for telling me. Your speech was very good at just putting it all into words,I love it, and I love you.”
“I have one more thing for you, Ominis.”
Sebastian pulled the flowers from his bag, and placed then In Ominis’ hands.
“These smell amazing, Sebastian.What colors are they?”
“Half of them are Milky blue like your eyes, and half are pink like your lips.”
Ominis blushed at the answer.The conversation went quiet, leaving only the sound of the wind blowing.
“The wind seems pretty strong.”
Sebastian stated.Right after, a particularly strong gust came through and blew a large amount of petals off of the flowers.
“The petals are scattering everywhere.”
“Let them carry our love through all the Highlands.”
Ominis said out of nowhere.
“Ominis, That was very poetic of you.”
Sebastian looked down to see Ominis’ hand in twined with his.
“Could I…Kiss you?”
Ominis gave a nod and then then Sebastian’s lips were on his.Out of the corner of his eye, Sebastian could see the flower petals drifting further and further away. They were truly carrying their love through the Highlands.
