Summary
So, here’s the thing: Nick Nelson has been in love with Charlie Spring since he was 16 years old. He doesn’t quite know which moment in particular was the catalyst. Maybe it was the first time they spent time together outside of school. The comfort of the Nelson household and the subsequent snow day that followed. Charlie looking like an angel in Nick’s jumper. Running outside and playing in the snow with him and Nellie. Maybe it was when they were at Harry Greene’s 16th birthday party, chasing each other through the corridors of the massive hotel, making quips at one another. Maybe it was when Charlie had joined the rugby team at Nick’s request (more like a plea) despite the cost to himself, having to spend time with all of the boys who had given him a hard time the year prior when he had been outed.
AKA The one where Nick is on the bass, Charlie is on drums, and Nick sings a song to let Charlie know exactly how he feels.
