Livia Cardew may have been a beauty to look at, but that was all she held aside from her parents background and riches. Lucy was way more tolerable, she had a sweet voice, beautiful face, charming and teasing personality, although there was a bit of a problem, Lucy had nothing to give but a few coins and sometimes just a song.
but when he gets "rid" of her to finally kill the way he feels about her, it only makes it worse. Coryo had countless of sleepless nights, most were dreams about Lucy or just nightmares that involved Lucy or his demise. At this point, Coryo had no reason to sleep anymore if he would only get dreams or nightmares that would lessen his self esteem.
Coriolanus shivers, it was vague and not noticeable but still, he despised it. He hears the taunting voice of the haunting dead girl again, Lucy, the songbird who warms his chest and bed in his dreams but in reality makes him weak and vulnerable. Enough to have someone sneak up on him without Coryo even realizing, it was getting out of hand so when Lucy finally started to get uncomfortable with him after killing Mayfair and Billy Taupe (Spruce did but who cares?) or that pure hearted idiot Sejanus and left, he thought he'll finally be able to find peace only to be struck with guilt, rage, anger and sorrows.
He never felt defeat this badly, he was at the lowest of low, damn was he even lower then the Earth's core. Enraged and helpless with no power, he tries to murder Lucy, the girl he loved, the girl he promised to protect and the prize he caught.
Lucy, the poor songbird, Sejanus, the innocent idiot, Tigris, the woman who raised him, all did he get rid off, after graduating from university, he was high enough in power now. Standing tall with a chin raised, his hair finally grew back and slicked back to the nape of his neck. The nape the ghost of Lucy Gray, pecked with her red lipstick on, giving him shivers, day after day.
Of course, only to find out, Lucy Gray was alive, well and happy, maybe even has a family? as if he'll ever allow that, but now he'll watch on the sidelines observing Lucy Grays freedom, until it runs out when he gets near. A perfect plan for her to come back.
