Work Text:
Yusuf and Nicolò were making their way through the snowbanks on their way to a meeting point outside Warsaw. Because of his long legs, Yusuf was walking in front of Nicolò, trying to make a path. Suddenly, Nicolò stopped walking and looked up at the night sky. A second later, Yusuf turned around to check on Nicolò and decided to go back.
Yusuf: "Something wrong, My Love?"
Nicolò: "No, not at all. Try taking a look at the moon."
Yusuf did it with a smile. He loved looking at the night sky with Nicolò no matter where they were in the world.
Nicolò: "It's Christmas day, so Merry Christmas, Yusuf."
Yusuf: "Merry Christmas, Nicolò."
Yusuf dropped his backpack in the snow before taking Nicolò's hand.
Yusuf: "Thanks. So since it's a day of celebration, we should celebrate."
Nicolò: "As much as I long for your touch, I'm not having sex with you in the snow, Yusuf. We could end up with frostbite in places we don't want."
Yusuf laughed, which made Nicolò laugh, too.
Yusuf: "I also prefer having sex in a warm room when we are this far north of Tunisia. No, what I meant was we can still kiss and dance."
Nicolò: "A kiss would be nice, but how do you imagine us dancing in the snow when we barely can walk in it?
Yusuf: "I show you after you have taken off your backpack."
When Nicolò had dropped his backpack next to Yusuf's, Nicolò placed his arms around Yusuf's neck, and they kissed. While kissing, Yusuf moved his hand down to Nicolò's lower waist, and when they broke apart, Yusuf took Nicolò's hand before he started to sway them around. Because the snowbanks were so big, they didn't have much space to move around, so they could only move around on the spot. While dancing, Nicolò placed his head on Yusuf's shoulder. They danced until it started to snow.
Nicolò: "Thanks for the dance, Yusuf. I have missed being held by you."
Yusuf: "Not as much as I have missed having you in my arms. Can't wait until I can hold you again and kiss you without all these clothes on."
They kissed again.
Nicolò: "Incurable romantic. You always say the nicest things."
Yusuf: "For you, always. We better get going before there is even more snow."
Nicolò: "Great idea, and the sooner we reach Warsaw, the sooner I will get out of all these clothes."
Yusuf: "You got a point, as always. Let's get going so I can help you get out of your clothes."
Yusuf kissed Nicolò on the nose before they took their backpacks. Then Yusuf reached out his hand, which Nicolò took with a smile.
Yusuf: "Merry Christmas, Nicolò."
Nicolò: Merry Christmas, Yusuf. While we walk, could you tell me one of your stories?"
Yusuf: "With pleasure. Have I ever told you the story about Scrooge, who hated Christmas?"
Nicolò leaned his head against Yusuf's arm and enjoyed the story while they walked the last forty kilometres or so there was left of their journey.
