   Summary

   (original summary) This story depicts what happened to Kurama and Hiei after Yusuke recovered the three Sacred Objects from them, to the point where they meet up with Yusuke again at the land of the Four Sacred Beasts.

   (new summary) Kurama was intrigued by Hiei's actions in the human world and had an elaborate game planned for learning more about the demon. Koenma wanted the fox-spirit thief for Yusuke's team and Hiei in his jail. Hiei just wanted to be left alone. With some difficulty, Kurama and Hiei get together and start down the path towards friendship and more, but the road is rocky and there are many misunderstandings along the way. Eventually, though, they end up at the same place and discover how much more there was to gain.

   Two steps forward, two steps back and then repeat from the top. Are we making progress or losing it? Kurama couldn’t tell.
