Work Text:
As the cold, poison laced object left my gut. I collapsed to the floor in agony and surprise, a wave of numbness now slowly making its corse through my body. I turned my face to look at the creature that's stabbed me, and oh was it a horrific sight.
My attackers body was contorted in ways not possible for a human being, its skin was melting off of its body. I could feel the poison flowing with my blood, gradually making its way all around my mortal frame. There was also a pungent smell of rotting flesh most likely coming from this monster standing over me.
As I observe the demonic beast that's left me with a fatal wound, my attention is then brought back to the fact I'm loosing the feeling in my body. I can no longer feel my legs at all, the pain in my gut is soothing in the most sickeningly way possible. A sensation I'm at a loss for words to describe, that's how horrible yet calming it is. I could still feel the warmth of my blood leaving my body through the stab puncture that tore straight through my intestines, inches away from getting my kidneys too.
The inhuman 'thing' standing over me leans in closer, its face inches away from mine. It opens its mouth to a grin, what a disgusting sight to set your eyes upon. Half of its teeth were missing, and the ones it still has were all yellow, covered in a black sludge flowing out of its mouth like a water fall after a downpour of rain. Its tattered and blood stained rags were lightly brushing me, sending electrical shocks through the limbs on my dying corpse that still had some form of life left in it. The goop was now dripping onto my face, so I closed my eyes shut with the last bits of energy I still had left.
The last look I got was of the sky, the mist was heavier than before, or maybe it was just my vision. The trees that had once scared me with their strange appearance, now gave me comfort in how the branches seemed to be reaching out to me. Rain had started to gently fall, caressing me sweetly, as if trying to prepare me for death.
I lay there, my body now has lost all feeling. I couldn't even twitch a finger. I just lay there, so pathetically, waiting for deaths cold embrace to lift my soul from this weak, cold carcass. The chains holding it down, now rusted with time, finally slipping away as my heart beats for the last time.As my lugs get filled with air, as I take my last breath. My consciousness fading away with this now useless vessel filled with organs that no longer work.
