*set seven years after the events of Supernova*
Coming back home is bittersweet, when a person doesn't remember the home that they've returned to. Especially when the absence of those who have been lost lingers over their head like a crushing weight.
Especially when a pair of blue eyes carries with them the burden of seven long years, and the emptiness of the things that have been lost along the way.
Especially when the weight of the tragedies that took place in the meantime makes itself painfully apparent.
That's why picking the broken pieces up hurts, as I seem to cut myself on each and every shard that I wrap my fingers around. But I need to push through despite the blood on my hands.
Because, every time an ancient curse is mentioned, something deep inside of me stirs, trying to claw its way out of my chest and to the surface, leaving a bloody trail behind it.
I need to be careful while following the clues left in its destructive wake, as I'm using them to piece myself back together, one jagged piece at a time.
What is left of the person that I used to be? And what will be left of her when all is said and done?
