Summary
The thing about being new at something is that you don’t know how to do it right. Dabi was raised to be a hero, to surpass his father, to surpass All Might- until he wasn’t. Training aside, hero ethics was part of his education- not a large part, his father was Endeavor after all- but enough of it was.
The number one rule of being a hero was that you were supposed to help people just like the number one rule of being a villain was to do things in your self-interest. Being a villain Dabi should have left the kid alone. He should have cut the muzzle off and decided that was enough good deeds for the day. He probably should’ve ignored the kid altogether and fucked off to his shitty bed in his shitty warehouse.
But Dabi was new to being a villain.
