Chapter Text
"Rae, can I talk to you?" Icarus spoke up. "Uh, yeah, sure. everyone else, if anyone has any worries or anything, ask Wolf, or come find me!" Rae, stepped of the podium at the front of the hall.
Once they got outside Rae started "Whats up?" He noticed Icarus was a bit.. on edge and stepped forward.
"Why- why are you doing this town meeting?" Rae looked confused "I-I guess because I always do them?" Icarus scoffed, looking up at Rae "Just- im not comfortable with you doing it. you- your obviously not yourself." Icarus glared at them, and started again "The eyes, everyone can see those now, aren't those a red flag?"
Rae stepped back, so.. this conversation. "Sherb, if this is about on the temple, I'm sorry. I shouldn't of let my anger and fear get the better of me." he stepped forward.
"why are you saying sorry? it's Enderian. She made you do that. I'm barely walking on my two feet because of her." Icarus stepped back again.
"Well, that's the thing. It wasn't Enderian, Sherbert, it was me. I... in the library there, it felt.. it was exactly like it was when you were corrupted.. I just got scared, and.. made you fall down that hole." he watched as Sher-Icarus step back, something more akin to fear spread across their face.
"I-no. I'm done. I'm going home." They shook their head and walked past Rae, leaving him, their father and the rest of the people in the town hall by themselves.
Icarus.. Calm down.
You should've listened to the rest of his story Ic! It would've told you more.
They got to their house, the Everything nothing more than whisper in their ears. "Really Quixis? Now is where you choose sides?" They huff, writing down that all the plants have changed to Orchids. "Chat, I'm going to bed. I'll see you later."
And one thing they didn't expect to see when they went to the WorldPort that night, was Quixis standing in front of them..
