Book of History | White Day Card Set AU | Resource

Summary:

I am making this AU way more detailed than it should be. I made a special religious text and a map, so history is the next thing I'm going to work on. Most of this information won't even be relevant to the plot. And now I'm thinking of ideas for how the education system is going to work. WHY AM I DOING THIS

Chapter 1: The Pegasus Kingdom

Chapter Text

It was thousands of years ago, in the Year 22, when a whisper of song and a winged steed (with godly blood flowing through her veins) was gifted to this man. At the time, he was 20 years old. He called himself Tenma, naming himself after his new ride. With the voice of Miku in his ear, he and his family took five years traveling to the northern parts of this land and established the Pegasus Kingdom on Year 27.

He set up many systems still in use now. He classified all his citizens based on their productivity. Those who he deemed to have given the most were granted wealth and status. The Hoshinos, Aoyagis, and Yoisakis still own most of the land their oldest ancestors did. Work was done for passion, but people had to be careful, for that could leave them poor and living right by the border. Jobs aren't gendered, they're purely skill-based. One's identity does not matter, only their ability. Those who focus on themselves are useless. Expression was for the wealthy only. Others are just wasting precious time that could've been spent working. This is true in all kingdoms.

He had several advisors, chosen from the best scholars in his land. The advisors would often be sorcerers as well. This practice has been put out of use as magic in humans has gone extinct.

Those in his guard would start training at seven and finish at 16, in regards to the great goddess Miku. This tradition is done in all kingdoms, enemy or ally, for this custom was established by Miku herself.

In Year 39, Miku blessed them with many crops.

Tenma bred his special horse and all serving in his army was given one of her offspring. Tenma lived a long life, probably a blessing from the goddess Luka, living to the age of 103. He died in the year 105. After his death, his youngest son (the rest of them died of old age because Tenma and his wife were more than three times older than the life expectancy at that time and they had their last child at 80 because of Luka's powers, also, Luka controls life and stuff) took the throne. The son was instructed to give the special horse to the woman who led his armies. But he wasn't willing to give her up, so he ordered his armies to invade the Dragon Kingdom and steal a dragon for her.

In year 110, all was prepared. They had to build ships and had to fly thousands of miles, for the Dragon Kingdom had many islands and the Pegasus Kingdom was completely landlocked. Their plan was successful and they successfully stole a dragon. However, this was a start to a war that lasted just under 1000 years, with the Pegasus Kingdom victorious. They allied with the Phoenix Kingdom, the only kingdom with more wealth and size than them, in the year 900. They came to victory at the year 1100. With that, it seems like the six gods, Miku, Rin, Len, Luka, Meiko, and Kaito, have gone dormant. There song was now silent.

Most of the islands now belonged to the Pegasus Kingdom and were renamed to the Pegasus Islands. They flourished in trade after that. However, there are still a few descendants of the last survivors of the Dragon Kingdom that leave attacks. They were the Pegasus Kingdom's most prominent enemy despite them being the smallest group. The Pegasus Kingdom still has many enemies, the allies of the Dragon Kingdom, even though the war ended over 2000 years ago.

Notes:

Also, the year is 3988 (no, it does not take place in the future). The creation is year 0 (creation is when Miku finished) and humans started flourishing around year 2. The Pegasus Kingdom was established in year 27, Phoenix in year 29, and Dragon (they won't be important at all, they'll only be mentioned in the prologue) in year 32. I'm not naming any other kingdoms, but just know that they are probably called a mythological creature.
