Avoiding the Worst Case Scenario

Summary:

In the near future, the Hero Course students of UA would embark on a mission alongside numerous Pro Heroes to take out the League of Villains once and for all… And while many would be defeated and detained… Ultimately, the events couldn’t be called a Victory.

Especially with how everything began to spiral afterwards.

However, what if things could have gone better? Or, what if they could have been avoided entirely? Unfortunately, it was impossible to go back in time to alter the present.

However, Quirks were capable of a lot of different things. So, even if the present couldn’t be altered, what about ensuring that another Japan wouldn’t have to go through the same events?

Who’s to say someone couldn’t make that dream, into a reality?

Notes:

So, technically this is the Second story I’ve planned for “MHA Characters watch their show”, but it will be the first that I post. Mostly in part due to the fact that it will be “practice” for my other one.

That doesn’t mean I won’t put effort into this one, since I will. It’s just that this one is technically “easier” to write up compared to my other one for MANY various reasons, and has somewhat of a different “goal” when comparing the two. After all, the other story that I’ve been planning for a while has the viewing starting with the characters coming from Pre-Summer Camp Arc, and will have them viewing the ENTIRE anime, with a WHOLE bunch of stuff occurring between viewings and such, taking heavy inspiration from “The Future Briefing Island” in regards to the “during breaks” sections in Characters growing as people, advancing their powers and intellect, etc.

Meanwhile, this story takes a good deal of inspiration from “MHA reacts to Paranormal Liberation War! (complete)”. At least in regards to somewhere close to the time frame, and to an extent what they’re watching. Because for this story, the current plan is to start the viewing with the Liberation War Arc, and then continue with the rest of the anime after that instead of simply ending it after the war. (While possibly throwing in a few clips/episodes of the past here and there depending on how the plot of this unfolds.) Although depending on how long it takes for me to get out chapters, it may go on a hiatus Post-Tartarus Escape, due to how the upcoming movie seems to have the “Movie Poster” hinting at it possibly taking place during the “Dark Deku” Saga.

After all, it’s been stated, and shown in the manga, that all the movies up to now are canon to the plot. So, if I get to the end of the War, and everyone reads about Midoriya leaving UA, and the movie still isn’t out, this will likely end up on hiatus until it is out, and I’ve had the chance to watch it to see if THAT one will also have the likelihood of being canon. (Which may delay this even further depending on how long it takes for it to be available on Streaming Services so that I can transcribe it and write up reactions by re-watching it). But, that’s for the future, and I don’t have the best track record with battling my ADD and getting out reaction chapters quickly, so we’ll put that on the backburner for now until it becomes relevant.

Another thing that’s different from the story that inspired this one, is the fact that this one will technically remain in the “Canon Timeline”. Technically it’s one that “splits” from the main timeline when they start viewing the future and plan for changes, but what I’m essentially trying to say is that everything and everyone will be like they are in the anime/manga. Not only that, but, as much of a pain as this will likely be for me to keep track of and write, the roster for viewers will… “change”, as it continues.

This won’t be a “time bubble” situation, and I’m trying to keep it relatively realistic, so it’s not like I can just have a large group of students and pro heroes sit down for days on end watching the future to plan on how to avoid it. For the students, I’ll be able to come up with a way for them to stick around the whole time relatively easily. The Pros are a different story, however. They’ve still gotta do their jobs. Patrolling, taking out the villains, etc. So, don’t expect characters like Hawks, Fat Gum or Ryuukyuu to stick around the whole time. I can probably get away with it for SOME of them, but definitely not all of them. A good example of someone not being around the whole time would likely be Endeavor. As the new Number 1, it’d be impossible to have him around for the entire thing. However, he has an agency he trusts, so it’s likely that when he isn’t present, his “main” sidekick Burnin would take his place to watch and keep notes.

But, with all that out of the way, let’s get to the prologue, where the basis for this whole “Viewing” starts… (Yes, the very start is somewhat similar to what inspired this in the first place, but I think the spins I put on it made it a good deal different, and I hope that the other changes that will come out of this will be interesting enough that it won’t turn people away…)

[Somewhat of a Disclaimer: When it comes to reactions, it’ll be split, occasionally. When it comes to the “longer discussions”, it will work off the “usual” rules for Reaction Fics, where the viewing will be Paused for it to take place. However, when it comes to smaller reactions, or one or two sentence conversations, I’ll be using SOD and going with “Anime Time”, like when people talk for 15 seconds, but only 2 have actually passed on a clock or something. I just wanted everyone to be aware of that going into this.]

Chapter 1: The Warning

Chapter Text

Izuku Midoriya stood outside the 1-A Dorm building Sunday morning, going through warm up stretches as he got ready for a jog around the school perimeter. Currently, he was wearing his gym clothes, with his plan being to wash them after he was done so that they would be clean for classes tomorrow if he needed them for any reason. As he crossed his arm in front of him and twisted, the front door opened, and Uraraka walked out, dressed in casual clothes as she yawned into her hand, turning to face the stretching teen.

“Hey, Deku. Did you already eat?” She asked, making the green haired teen pause, and turn to look over his shoulder.

“Oh, hey Uraraka. Yeah, I had breakfast not too long ago. I was just getting ready to do a couple laps around the school.” He told her as he turned around completely to face his friend. In response to his words, the girl gave him a knowing smile.

“Exercising this early on a Sunday morning?” She asked him, making his eyes gain a determined glint as he looked down at his arms, and clenched his fist.

“I’ve got to get even stronger, so that way I’ll be ready for the challenges I’ll face in the future. We’ve already gone through so much… I want to be ready for whatever else comes our way.” He said, making the girl giggle in response.

“That’s just like you, Deku.” She said, returning his smile.

And then a quiet crack rang out as the very air a few meters away seemed to bend and twist in on itself.

Immediately, Midoriya shifted back slightly, his fists raised as green lightning crackled over his form and red lines ran under his skin. At the same time, Uraraka shifted, lowering her stance with her hands in front of her, palms aimed towards the disturbance. Both of them ready for whatever might be happening.

After a few seconds of the space twisting and turning impossibly, a louder crack rang out as the air gave a particularly harsh bend, and suddenly a shape was flying through the air, hitting the ground and rolling towards the two. Both students tensed, but the shape came to a stop a few feet away, as the space it came from returned to normal. Although cautious, their hesitance disappeared when they looked at what the air had deposited in front of them.

Lying on the ground was a person, who didn’t appear to have any heteromorphic Quirks that they could see. It was a male, who had an Asian skin tone, and white hair that seemed as messy as Midoriya’s, although nowhere near as curly. He was facing them, but they couldn’t make out his features very well, and the clothes he was wearing appeared to be your average T-shirt and jean combo with black shoes.

Of course, it was a bit difficult to be entirely certain, since most of that clothing was nothing but rags, and there was a good deal of blood on them, likely from the various wounds they could see scattered on his body ranging from large cuts, small cuts, large bruises, and what looked like one or two holes in his left arm. This wasn’t even taking into account any internal injuries he may have had, or ones that weren’t in their line of sight. It took the two only a few moments to take in the situation, after which they both rushed towards the person.

“Hey! Are you alright?!” Midoriya called out, kneeling down when he got close so that he was near the person’s head, while Uraraka began looking over his injuries more closely. As a result of being closer, and focusing on his face, Midoriya could see numerous injuries there as well, while also noting how the teen had sparkling blue eyes when he managed to crack them open. Moments later, the teen, because now that they were up close the two students could tell that he appeared to be slightly older than them, gave a harsh cough, some blood splattering the ground near Midoriya’s knee as a result.

“Deku, he looks bad.” Uraraka said, taking in the various bleeding wounds that the teen had, as well as the bruising over his entire body.

“Uraraka, grab Iida and Yaoyorozu! We’ll get him bandaged up, and then have Yaoyorozu make a stretcher, and me and Iida can get him to Recovery Girl!” Midoriya said in response, getting a determined nod from his friend as she quickly stood up, and ran back to the Dorm building. As she did that, the green haired teen looked back down at the teen lying on the ground. “It’s okay, you’re going to be alright.” He said, the teen shivering slightly, before he coughed, and tried to say something. “What’s wrong?” Midoriya asked, worried there might be more wrong with the teen than they could tell.

“N-Nezu…” The teen muttered, so quietly that Midoriya could barely make it out. “The-the teachers… Need to-” He got cut off by another coughing fit, some more blood being expelled as a result, before he seemed to take in Midoiya’s appearance, and then glanced behind him at the building they were in front of. “Gotta-gotta Warn them. Warn you . The-the other students.” The teen continued, his arm weakly moving, grasping around what remained of his shirt.

“Hey, you shouldn’t be moving in your condition!” Midoriya told him, worried that the teen may worsen his injuries. Warn us? Warn us about what? Midoriya wondered, glancing up at the space where the teen had suddenly appeared, before turning his full attention back to him. Was he captured by the League? Does he know something about them? The green haired teen wondered, before turning behind him towards the Dorm building as he heard his name being called out, seeing Uraraka coming back with Iida and Yaoyorozu, alongside a few of their other classmates as well.

However, his head whipped back around to the injured teen when he felt something slap into his knee, and saw that the teen was holding a slightly crumpled envelope, which had some blood stains on it, and had slapped it against his leg. “Gotta.. Get warning, to teachers…” The teen continued, before meeting Midoriya’s eyes, and the green haired teen felt a chill down his spine at how intense his own were.

“Deku… You, and the others… Need to prepare…” The teen said, his tone conveying how serious his words were, despite how it was weakened. “He’s… Going to come… For it…” The white haired boy said, the envelope falling out of his weakened grip, while his eyes wavered. “Shigaraki… Is coming for you… For… One for All …” The teen said as his eyes closed, and his body slumped to the ground.

As this happened, Midoriya felt like ice was running through his veins. The mention of the Quirk that he possessed, that All Might had passed down to him, by who he could only assume was a civilian, chilled him to the core. He was barely able to focus as Yaoyorozu, Uraraka and a few others began to look the teen over and do some quick first aid, his attention instead grabbed by the envelope sitting on the grass by his knee.

Reaching down with slightly trembling hands, Midoriya picked it up, looking it over. The front was blank, but twisting it over, he saw the names of the Principal, as well as the Hero Names of a few of the UA Staff members, like Eraser Head and All Might. “Midoriya!” A voice called out, bringing the teen’s attention back to the current situation, and noting how the teen had been bandaged as well as he could for a quick patch job, and was currently lying on a stretcher that Yaoyorozu had likely created.

The one to call out to him was Iida, who was standing at the back of the stretcher. “Come on, we’ve got to get him to the infirmary!” His friend called out, making Midoriya shove his worry and questions to the back of his mind for now. After all, someone needed their help.

“Right!” Midoriya exclaimed, quickly getting to his feet and grabbing the front of the stretcher. Lifting it up with Iida, moments later the two were running towards the school at top speed.

[3 Hours Later]

Inside the faculty room of UA, a number of teachers sat around a table, with Nezu at the head of it, a cup of steaming tea sitting in front of him, and his paws pressed together. “Hello, I’m sure you’re all wondering just why you’re here.” He said, looking out over the teachers he had gathered. This included Aizawa, All Might, Midnight, Present Mic, Cementoss, Vlad King and Hound Dog.

“I’m assuming it has something to do with the kid my students brought in?” Aizawa asked, his arms crossed in front of him, getting a nod from Nezu in response, while most of the other teachers present were confused at his words.

“Quite.” The principal confirmed, before turning slightly to address the others in the room. “For those of you currently unaware, approximately 3 hours ago, Izuku Midoriya and Tenya Iida brought a heavily injured teen up to the school, in order to have Recovery Girl look over him.” He started, tapping  the table in front of him, and bringing up a hologram in the center of it that showed the teen in question wrapped in bandages, and lying unconscious in one of the infirmary’s beds.

“According to young Midoriya, the teen appeared in front of the 1-A dorms through unknown means, although it was likely a Quirk of some kind, as his appearance was preceded by the air apparently bending and twisting in unnatural ways.” The principal told them.

“Was it an attack on the school gone wrong?” Vlad asked, thinking about various possibilities, but voicing one of the worst ones he could think of out of caution.

“Or maybe he was avoiding a Villain attack somewhere nearby, and his Quirk deposited him here?” Midnight asked, thinking about the opposite end of the spectrum and bringing it up as a possibility. In response to their questions, Nezu took a sip from his tea, before placing it back down and answering them.

“As luck would have it, the young man was able to stay conscious long enough after arriving to say a few words to young Midoriya.” The chimera told them, reaching out and placing the envelope that the teen had given Midoriya onto the table, now opened with two USB’s sitting on top of it. “While he was unable to give any information on how he arrived, he was able to give a little information on why he arrived.” The principal told them, his usually jovial tone dipping slightly.

“I’m going to guess it’s not good news?” Cementoss asked, he and a few others taking in the splotches of blood on the envelope. In response, Nezu shook his head.

“Unfortunately not, no. The young man was only able to say a few words, but they were important nonetheless.” Nezu said, taking a few seconds to meet the various teachers’ eyes before continuing. “It would seem that the League will be active again soon. And from the sounds of it, they will be aiming for our students.” He said, and a chill went through the gathered adults at that piece of information.

However, the one most worried was All Might. He’d managed to talk to young Midoriya before this meeting after he’d delivered the teen, and the young man’s words stuck with him.

All-Might… He, knew , about our Quirk… My Quirk… And… He said that Shigiraki was going to come for it.

How the young man in the infirmary knew about One for All, All Might couldn’t be sure. However, if what he was saying was true, then it meant that his Successor was at the top of Shigiraki’s list. He clenched his pants in his fists at that thought.

“Okay, that’s definitely bad, but how do we even know the kid’s telling the truth?” Present Mic spoke up, raising his hands at a few glances he got. “I’m not saying he is lying, I’m just saying that he showed up out of nowhere and suddenly claimed that UA was gonna be attacked or something like that. It seems a bit sudden, is all.” The DJ Hero said, crossing his arms.

In response, Nezu gave a small smile as he nodded at the teacher. “That is true, and something I considered myself. That perhaps the League was using him, or that maybe he was a new member that was given this task.” The principal admitted, the thought being one of many possibilities he’d run through his mind. “However, when he appeared he was heavily injured, as you can see. He also gave this envelope to young Midoriya, which contained this.” He continued, holding up one of the USB’s.

Those closer to the principal were able to make out writing one it, which read, ‘Message: Watch First’. The teachers glanced between each other as Nezu plugged the USB into a slot on the edge of the table, and the holographic picture of the teen wavered, before changing to show a folder, with a single video file available in it, with a text file next to it. The prior was labeled “Watch First” while the second was labeled “List”.

“The back of the envelope gave me a small list of some of you to bring in to watch with me. While not all of you were on it, I thought it prudent to bring you in to see it for yourself.” He continued, making Aizawa speak up.

“And what’s in the video?” He asked, making Nezu hum, some of his jovial tone returning.

“I’m unsure of that myself. I couldn’t be certain that, depending on what this is, it wouldn’t delete the video itself after it was viewed.” He revealed, getting a grunt from the grouchy teacher, who could admit the principal had a point. He’d taken part in the occasional mission where that happened to the information the team he was a part of tried to download after raiding a villain’s base.

Selecting the video file, everyone around the table focused on it as it took up the whole screen.

Standing in the center was the teen that they’d already seen, only he was healthy, and his clothes didn’t have any rips or tears in them. From the angle of the shot, it appeared he was holding whatever was recording him. Nervousness was clear to see on his face as he opened and closed his mouth a few times, before coughing and looking down slightly.

“C’mon, you’ve come this far. It’s just talking to some very important Pro Heroes that you’ve seen but never interacted with. And you’re talking with them through a video format at that. No biggie.” He muttered to himself, even as his voice shook slightly.

In the faculty room, the various teachers glanced between themselves, slightly surprised at the nervousness the teen was displaying on screen.

Taking a deep breath, the teen looked back at the screen, his gaze hardening slightly and some of his nerves disappearing. “My name is Shiu Ryou, at the time of recording this I’m 17 Years Old.” He revealed. “I’m… Not entirely sure the best way to say this… I’m not actually sure when this might be watched, so, I’m just going to be blunt…” The teen said, trailing off, before shifting slightly, and then staring into the camera. “In what is… Possibly the near future, the whole of Japan is going to go to shit .” He said.

Just like a few minutes prior, the teachers in the room felt a chill run through their bodies at how bluntly the teen was saying that, and how serious his voice was when he did.

Rubbing his head, the teen continued. “If you’re watching this, it means that for some reason, I’m not explaining it in person.” He said, before chuckling humorlessly. “Maybe somehow I died after arrival… Maybe I got lucky and I was just injured for some reason, and you’re watching this while I’m healing.” He said, before sighing and slouching slightly. “...Or maybe the nerves finally got to me and I chickened out of doing this myself in the end, and just mailed this to you.” He muttered dejectedly, before shaking his head, and looking back up.

“Whatever the reason, I’m not saying stuff in person, and this is the best backup I could think of…” He said, rubbing his head. “My Quirk is… Well, I’m not really sure what to call it, since I figured I was Quirkless until not too long ago.” He said with another mirthless chuckle. “All I know is that when things were going horribly wrong, my Quirk activated… And I found myself in what I can only surmise is a completely separate timeline.” He revealed with a shrug.

“Wait, what?” Present Mic questioned, unable to keep quiet at that revelation. The other adults around the room were also surprised, and quite a bit confused, at the words the teen on screen had just said.

“Hm, fascinating.” Nezu hummed as he sipped his tea. Whether or not it was the truth had yet to be seen, but if it was, that kind of Quirk was definitely an interesting one.

“As far as I can tell, It’s some 200 years in the past… Or at least, that’s what I thought at first.” He said, grimacing as though remembering some bad memories. “I mean, I figured it out pretty quickly that I was in the past, considering the number of fiction stories or shows I read or watched that had that kind of thing happen. Heh , I didn’t go bumbling around like a moron for a few days ignoring any of the signs that would’ve made it obvious.” He said with a small chuckle at the thought, before frowning and looking down. “Except that I wasn’t in the past… At least, not my past.” He said with a small shudder.

“Finding work without any kind of ID that would be accepted at the time was difficult, and I spent more than a few weeks having to search for random places that were the best to sleep… Being stuck in the past with pretty much no identity is hard .” He said as he looked down with a shiver.

The teachers couldn’t help but wince or frown at the teens’ words on screen. He said he was 17, so when did he have to do that? Was it a couple months prior? Was he 16 or 15 when it happened and he’d been there for a year or two? Their gazes refocused on the teen as he looked back up at the camera again.

“But that-that’s not what I’m supposed to be telling you about. I’m already making this longer than it needs to be…” He trailed off, before shaking his head. “Either way, I ended up finding out that this isn’t my past, when I saw ads on a billboard… Ads for an anime… An anime titled ‘My Hero Academia’.”... In case you couldn’t guess, it was about my timeline… Or, I guess, ‘our’ timeline? Maybe?” He said, his nerves returning at the end, before he shook his head.

“Either way, looking into it, I found out that it was just what the title implied. Some kind of ‘television retelling’ of the shit that went down during the final year, as well as a bit before that, of my time in the timeline I was originally from… Or maybe Universe, since the fact that it was an anime here meant that it wouldn’t happen in the future…” He said.

The teachers viewing the recording felt their eyes widen at the information the teen was giving them. A show? About their world? What?

Meanwhile, Nezu hummed as he watched the recording continue, taking in what he could about the teen and what he was saying, and surmising that as far as he could tell, he was telling the truth. The visual tells of lying weren’t present, after all. But, he couldn’t be entirely sure.

“Whatever the case, I… I realized something, a few days later… After having a small breakdown, at least .” He said, glancing to the side as he muttered the last part.

“If he’s telling the truth, it’s surprising that a small breakdown is all he had.” Hound Dog muttered in his gruff voice, crossing his arms and contemplating setting up a few meetings with the kid in the future after he healed. It could be possible that he’d just internalized the information, and never truly been able to have a healthy reaction to the information.

If what he was saying was the truth, at least.

“I realized… I realized that I could do something. I… My Quirk apparently let me jump timelines, or universes, or whatever … And I showed up in 20XX in this one, instead of 22XX like ours, so obviously I wasn’t appearing in the same ‘time’ as when I jump… Or the same Place either, since I definitely wasn’t in an alley when my Quirk activated, but that’s where I appeared the first time.” He said, shivering slightly. “I spent a few months working, building up some money… Eventually, I managed to get this camera.” He said, waving around the device recording him. “As well as a couple USB’s, and the dvd’s for the anime in question.” He said, shifting slightly.

“I managed to get all the… ‘seasons’ copied onto the USB over some time, alongside the movies that came out for it, and I’m going to get this video copied onto the other one. I’ll label it so that they’re separated and this is definitely watched first.” He said with a small chuckle. “I’m sure if it isn’t, things will just be way more surprising…” He trailed off, his grin slipping, as he looked down, the camera lowering a bit as his arm lowered as well.

The adults watching were able to see as the teen became more nervous, and they could even see how tense he appeared. A few of them were able to see that he actually appeared a good deal frightened.

“...I don’t know exactly how my Quirk works, since it’s so new to me… And I don’t really know if I’ll be able to control it all that well to… ‘Decide’ where or even when I want to end up…” He said, his breathing slightly uneven. “But… As a superhero… Or, I guess in our terms, a Vigilante, that I started reading and watching about lately, even if he is fictional, has consistently said… ‘With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility’.” He said, his tone becoming slightly stronger, before he chuckled slightly.

“Then again, considering we’re thought of as fictional in this universe even though I’m here now, who’s to say Spider-Man isn’t real in some other timeline?” He muttered, chuckling quietly for a few seconds at his own pondering, before sighing, and looking up at the ceiling above him, and then looking back down to stare at the camera. “But yeah. I have this power, so maybe, just maybe , I’ll be able to find my way to another version of the timeline I’m originally from. Maybe I’ll be able to show up before everything goes wrong, and I can give you all the information you need to avoid Japan falling into chaos… Maybe I can save at least some of those lives that were lost. ” He muttered quietly at the end.

However, despite how quietly he muttered them, the recording still picked them up, and the teachers all shared looks of unease at his words, and how dejected he sounded saying them.

“An-anyways… You watching this means that I’m not talking to you for some reason… So, I guess I’ll have to give you something of a vague timeline for when to start watching stuff.” He said, the hand not holding the camera coming up to rub at his neck. “While watching everything would no doubt give a lot more information, depending on the time, it’s possible you wouldn’t be able to watch through everything, and still have time to plan for it.” He said with a sigh, before looking back up with a frown. “Also, I’m… I’m sorry. There’s… Gonna be secrets revealed… Especially one big one… But after watching through it all myself… I felt it would be better this way, for everyone to learn about anything that hasn’t happened yet and is still coming, and how to go about stopping it, with just how focused it is on the Heroes, and the UA Hero Course students…” He said, flinching.

“I… Nezu, I know how smart you are, and I’m sure you can skim through the videos to figure out what secrets those would be, and ask for permission, or maybe over the course of a couple days you could condense these into something that’s simple to share without revealing more than what’s needed… But, I’m not as smart as you, so this was all that I could think of for the best way to go about all this.” He said with a sigh, before looking up.

“Alright… Alright… Back to a timeline… How best to explain it…? ” He muttered, biting his lip for a few seconds, before taking a deep breath. “...Okay, if this is before Class 1-A is established- No, wait, sorry. There’s always a Class 1-A, gotta be more specific. If this is before or right after the Class 1-A that contains Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo and Shoto Todoroki has been established, please start from the very beginning.” He said, his eyes shifting as he brought his thumb up to his mouth to bite on the nail, no doubt thinking about how to continue.

“If this is… After the attack on the USJ, but before the Sports Festival… You might be able to start at the beginning, but if you want to be more cautious, I’d suggest starting just before Season 2. If it’s after the Sports Festival, then you’re around halfway through Season 2.” He said to the camera.

As the teachers continued to watch and listen, they saw how the teen on the screen paraphrased the events that were present in this “anime”, and the best times to watch them. As they did, they realized that he knew a bit more than the average civilian about the events that had already played out, and the way he explained them in regards to the “seasons” had most of them realizing that the teen was likely telling the truth about his situation.

Watching the first movie onwards if the trip to I-Island hadn’t happened yet.

Starting the third season at the beginning prior to the summer camp, or halfway through if the attack on the League’s hideout, and the tragedy of Kamino had already happened.

Watching from the start of Season 4 if the Provisional License exam had already occurred, or starting halfway through if the attack on Shie Hasaikai was already done and Eri was under their protection.

Starting on Season 5 if the 1-A and 1-B Joint Training hadn’t happened yet, or starting somewhere around halfway through if it was already done, and Christmas hadn’t happened yet.

“If Class 1-A hasn’t gone to… Nabu Island yet, then start with the Second Movie onwards… And I’d definitely suggest having a number of Pro Heroes go along, but stay out of sight until things kick off when the trip comes up… If it hasn’t happened yet, you’ll know what I mean when you see it.” He said with a flinch. “As for the World Heroes mission, if that hasn’t happened yet, then start with the Third Movie.” He continued.

“Damn, woulda been real nice if we’d gotten this a couple weeks ago, yeah?” Mic asked Aizawa with a sigh, getting a grunt from him in response.

“You heard the kid, he hasn’t used his Quirk all that much. If when he arrived here, it was only the second time, it’s no surprise that he wasn’t able to choose to arrive earlier.” He said, getting a sigh from Mic.

“I know, I’m not blaming him. Guess I’m just thinking of “what if’s”, huh?” He asked, getting a hum from his friend.

On the screen, the teen flinched as he looked down. “I guess the last ‘time stamp’ I can really give you is that if the Work Studies as still happening and the World Heroes Mission has already happened, then you’ll need to start watching from the beginning of season 6…” He said, reaching up and rubbing at his shoulder. “That’s when things go to shit, so if I’ve arrived after that… Then there’s not enough time for this to work.” The teen told them with a frown as he looked away.

His words caused the adults in the meeting room to share looks. After all, his last explanation was their current situation. And while that was possibly a good thing, since it would allow them to utilize his knowledge if he was telling the truth, the fact that they were apparently so close to whatever caused Japan to “go to shit” was something that caused a few of them to be uneasy.

“That’s… About it, I think. I… Don’t really know what else to say, or how to end this…” He trailed off, glancing to the side, before looking back at the camera, his nerves from earlier appearing yet again. “Uh, I-I hope that this helps stop… Whatever is coming that hasn’t already happened, since, uh, again, I’m not sure when I’ll be showing up… Or if I’ll be showing up in a version of my timeline at all …” He muttered to himself. “I, uh… Yeah… Um, I’ll include a List of other Heroes you should probably invite to see all this, considering how important they are… Um, good luck.” The teen stuttered over his words, before the video abruptly ended.

As the screen turned black, the meeting room fell into silence as the various teachers shared looks between each other. A few moments later, their attention was grabbed by the screen when it changed to blue, and they turned to face Nezu as the chimera held the USB in his paw, before he placed it down, picked up the other one, and plugged it in.

As a result, the screen changed once more, this time showing a folder, which when opened, revealed numerous video files with titles such as “S1E1 - IM Origin”, “S2E4 - Cavalry P1”, “Movie 1 - I-Island” and more. After looking them over for a few moments, Nezu clicked on the one titled “S1E13 - USJ Finale”, and the teachers all watched as the screen changed to video format once again, and started playing.

After a few seconds, Bakugo came into view, followed by Todoroki, Kirishima and then Midoriya as All Might spoke and inspirational music played in the background. “A real Hero, will always find a way for Justice to be served!” He exclaimed, as the Nomu bounced off the ground and into the air, and the man landed in front of it.

“Now for a lesson.” He said as he stood up. “You may have heard these words before, but I’ll teach you what they really mean.” He continued as a bright light shot forwards and bounced between six others before landing on the eighth, which All Might’s fist closed around, steam billowing out of it. “Go beyond! Plus! Uuuuultraaaaa !” He called out as his fist impacted the Nomu, it’s body bulging, before it was shot backwards as if launched from a cannon, cratering the ceiling of the USJ, and causing numerous lights to explode, before it could be seen flying up into the sky above, parting a few clouds, before disappearing from sight with a twinkle.

After a few moments, the video was paused, and the silence returned once more, this time a bit heavier than before. “Well.” Nezu said after a few seconds. “It would appear that young Shiu was telling the truth.” He continued, removing the USB from the port and holding it up for everyone to look at.

“So what are we going to do, sir?” Cementoss asked, making Nezu turn to look at him, before he gave a hum, and glancing down at the USB he held.

“...I believe our best option at the moment may be to follow young Shiu’s idea. With the young man unconscious, it is currently impossible for us to simply ask him any questions about what may be coming our way, or if he possibly thought of any other ideas between when he thought of this one, and traveled to our timeline.” Nezu said as he placed down the USB, and picked up the first one again. Plugging it in and opening the second folder titled “List”, he started to read through it.

Unfortunately, based on the young man’s words, it’s likely that One for All will be revealed… I will have to check with All Might and Young Midoriya, but… Nezu allowed a small smirk to appear on his face. Knowing those two, with the noble goal that young Shiu has with this idea, I’m sure the two will agree without a second thought. He thought to himself, knowing the personality of the two, and the fact that if it could save what sounded like it may be hundreds or thousands of lives, the secret of One for All getting out to a small group of people would likely be seen as a worthwhile sacrifice in their eyes.

Hm, I suppose the Auditorium would likely be the best place for this… “viewing” of the upcoming future. I’ll also have to figure out a schedule for all of this. Nezu thought to himself, mentally chuckling as he began to compile messages to send out to the various names on the list. My. Although serious, this may turn out to be quite fun to plan and organize. The chimera thought to himself as the other teachers had their own conversations amongst themselves about young Shiu’s recording, and what it could mean going forwards…

Post-Chapter Notes

(Since using the actual option for this in the first chapter would put these at the bottom of EVERY chapter after this one.)

And here we are with the first chapter! …Damn, I actually finished this over the course of writing during, like, three-quarters of a day… (Not including the various times I looked over it again and again to make sure I got as much right as I could... I'm still sure I missed some things, though.) I don’t remember writing anything this fast since… Near the tail-end of my highschool years on a different account of mine… Guess that Writer’s Block I’ve been stuck in for over a year now has finally gone away. (Writer’s Block in regards to writing “my own” stories. After all, I’ve got a few Fanfictions of Fanfictions on here, but this’ll be my first one where the whole thing is gonna be written by me, and I actually managed to write a full chapter for it, instead of just Notes on how I want something to go.)

SO! We have an OC of mine showing up beaten black and blue, and ensuring that a message gets delivered to Nezu and the other teachers telling them to watch the future to avoid calamity. Of course, they’re not just gonna take it at face value, but the possibility of it being true is enough to get them to consider it, especially when opening the other USB shows them the copied episodes/movies he tells them about.

On a different note, Shiu’s name. I spent around 10 minutes looking, and finally found this one, which worked perfectly for him, with MHA’s Naming Convention of having to do with their Quirk. Depending on the way it’s written, his name translates to “Time, Hour, Moment, Space, Universe” and “Journey, Travel, Space, Universe”.

With that being said, the next chapter will be the “First Group” gathering together and meeting up, and depending on how long or short that ends up being, I may include some of the very beginning of the first episode near the end up to the OP, once again similar to the story that inspired this. For those interested, I’ll be using the Dub for this story, hence the naming conventions being used here.

And, of course, because this isn’t a Time Bubble situation, things will still happen outside of Reaction scenes. Especially since even though this is to plan for the future, life still goes on for everyone, and it’s not like they’d just outright cancel School Time entirely for the students since they still have at least a few more weeks before the events of the future might start to occur. I’m not sure how much focus I’ll put onto those types of scenes, but I just wanted to establish that they are scenes that will likely happen every so often, even if they may end up being mostly glossed over.

WIth that being said, I hope everyone enjoyed this introductory chapter, and I look forward to anyone who returns for the next!

[One last thing of note: Much like my other stories, updates will be slow, especially since for this one I’m writing up everything myself, instead of just making edits, additions, etc. due to loving an already written story, and wanting to write one ABOUT said story. As a result of that, as well as the fact that work is picking up a bit for me, AND needing to transcribe the episodes, it may be quite a while between chapters. But, I’m going to try my best to stay focused on this for a while, and put in the effort to try and work on it a little bit each day one way or another, whether that be working on character interactions, or transcribing some parts of episodes.]
