Chapter Text
"What?!" You felt your ears almost bleeding, and you shushed your friend. She was astonished. "Why did your parents... WHY?!" She grabbed your shoulders and shook them.
You sighed, "I don't know, Freya, but I'm afraid that I don't have friends, you're my first friend." you looked down and said, "I know I'm really nosy, but I just want to be friends with them, and you're. You're the one who understands my behavior." You raised your head and smiled at her. As you smiled at your friend, she hugged you tightly, like she didn't want to lose you. She was sobbing, and that was making your tears wet your cheeks.
Erick, your uncle, glanced at you. He ruffled your hair. "Hey, don't cry, little one. Don't let your tears ruin your beautiful face," he said. He wiped your tears from your cheeks with his hands. He cupped your face and squished it lightly. "Don't worry, you'll have many friends! So stop crying; you've been crying for almost 3 hours, you know." Erick gave you a warm gaze. You just nodded and smiled widely, like something hadn't happened to you before. But still, deep down inside, you felt sad and lonely without your best friend, Freya.
Erick was giving you comfort while you drove toward the Moniyan Empire; he told you many stories. "Y'know what? You have the potential to be a merchant, [Name]." He spoke, and you gave him a disbelieving look. He chuckled, "What? I'm just saying the facts, little one. You have a potential—no. Potentials."
"Really?! But how? I'm not good at math, uncle." You pouted, and your uncle just laughed out loud. He was really loud; in your eyes, he was like your own father.
Erick nodded at the 6-year-old girl. "Yeah, you're. My little one can be whatever she wants!" He raised his hand, and you raised your hand like he did.
You laughed along with Erick, and you realized that your uncle was understanding you like Freya. You were really happy. That made you feel like you'd found another soul who understood you and treated you better.
"And here we are," he said, pointing at a magnificent palace building. You looked at it, your eyes rounded.
You smiled widely. "Is this the Moniyan Empire? Beautiful!" you shouted. Erick just smiled at your excited behavior. He chuckled. Then he climbed down from his friend, who could be a vehicle. Then he helped you get away from his friend. You both thanked him, and he just said that he was happy to help his friend and you. Then he drove away after saying goodbye to you.
Erick picked you up and placed you on his shoulder. "Stay on my shoulder, Princess," he patted your legs, and you obeyed him.
Erick started to walk, but someone just caught your attention. That was a boy; he had a pair of sapphire eyes. Very beautiful. You kept your gaze locked on the boy; you looked like you didn't want to let him lose his sight. But he looked up at you; his eyes were shining brightly under the sunlight.
