Kei woke up early he looked at his phone and it was only 5:19 in the morning. He groaned and sat up he looked at the calendar and saw that it is December 19, 2023 it is in-circled with red marker. He smiled and got up excited to get the day started. Thankfully it is now a Christmas Break meaning he is free today since he already finished the tasks that was assigned for them to take home. He scoffed at thought.
Students are supposed to enjoy the break and not stress about school works. Kei thought to himself.
He showered and brushed his teeth and ate his breakfast with his family who are morning people unlike him who just happened to wake up early. He remembered that they have a volleyball practice today for the last time before they could enjoy their break. He said goodbye to his parents after having breakfast with them and head straight to the Karasuno.
He arrived at the school and make his way to the gym only to be met with the loud voices and the sound of the balls slamming the floor. He opened the gym door and headed straight to Yamaguchi who was surprisingly earlier than him.
"You're early." He said to Yamaguchi.
"I should be saying that to you." Yamaguchi replied. "Are you so excited that you woke up too early just to see him?" Yamaguchi continued.
"Who is this 'him' that we heard of?" Tanaka suddenly joined the conversation.
"Nonya" Tsukishima replied.
"Nonya what?" A confused Nishinoya entered the chat.
"Nonya business"
Yamaguchi laughed at them finding the exchange between Tsukki and his senpais silly.
"Shut up Yamaguchi."
"Sorry not sorry Tsuki."
Kei rolled his eyes at his childhood friend then suddenly the door opened revealing the King and an orange hair following him.
"Oh who is that Kageyama? Your boyfriend?" Tanaka teased earning him a few laughs from the other members present.
" Uhm hi. I am Hinata Shoyo and I would like to join the volleyball club."
"Welcome Hinata Shoyo, I am Kenshin Ukai, you can call me Ukai, I am the coach of the Karasuno volleyball team and this are Sawamura Daichi the captain and Sugawara Koshi the vice captain. Also these are our managers, Shimizu Kiyoko and Yachi Hitoka"
"Hi Nice to Meet you everyone" Shoyo greets with a warm smile.
"Hi, save the formalities but I hope that we can work well in the court." Daichi shook hands with Shoyo.
Kei just looked at the new comer who was bickering with King and getting close with his senpais. Shoyo then looked at Kei with smile then run towards him while screaming his name.
"KEIIIIIIIII." Then Shoyo did something that made the other Karasuno members other than Yamaguchi and Kageyama, drop their jaws.
Shoyo threw himself into Kei's arms and Kei catching him then, Shoyo kissed him on the lips. It took a long while before they ran out of breathes and Kei loosen his hold to Shoyo so that he could get down from him.
"I missed you Keiii!!!"
"I missed you too sunshine."
Kei kissed Shoyo's forehead then hugged him. He looked up and saw his teammates either amused or in shock.
Kei let go of Shoyo then interlocked their fingers together and faced his teammates.
"I know you have questions, get on with it so we can practice."
"How-"
"When-"
"Where-"
The team asked, well Nishinoya and Tanaka asked for the team.
"One question at a time."
Nishinoya asked every question in one go, "How, when and where did you guys start your relationship???"
Shoyo answered them, "Well first, we met at the same middle school, our house is near the school so whenever Kei's parents and brother needs to leave they leave him with us."
"And to answer how, I always tease him until we got close with each other. Leading to that specific scenario that Shoyo mentioned."
Sugawara asked this time, " How come Yamaguchi and Kageyama knows.
"Well King is Shoyo's bestfriend and Yamaguchi started to hang out with us also." Kei answered.
"So that explains it."
Ennoshita also asked a question, " So what's up with what happened earlier, you two seemed to have not seen each other in ages."
"Well, my family moved out, we moved to Osaka, we just moved back here again at Miyagi" Shoyo answered.
"For how many years?"
"They stayed there for a few months" Kei answered.
"And here they are missing each other like they haven't seen each other in like what.. 10 years?"
"Shut up Yamaguchi."
"But it is true, it's just a few months."
"Shut up Bakayama"
"See, that is why I hate you hanging out with Tsukishima."
"True, his attitude is rubbing off on you."
They laughed at the couple.
"Didn't know Tsuki could show such emotions huh, I always thought that we will keep that stick up his ass 'til death." Tanaka teased.
Kei glared at him and Shoyo laughed.
"Sunshine.."
"Sorry Kei." Shoyo said with a teasing smile.
Kei rolled his eyes at him. Coach Ukai intervened, thankfully, Tsukishima released a relieved sigh.
"Ok, we can continue this later, for now let's start practice."
"Yes Coach!"
