Writing Holiday cards had always been something Erica despised. She got a few, as usual, this year but many came from old patients and were addressed to both Erica and Addison. Addison, of course, loved the cards, she loved to write them and she loved to show them off when she got any. So the house was full of cards, Erica’s few mixed in with Addison’s.
They had, of course, sent their own. To friends, to family, to other loved ones and in one case, to an ex patient of Addison’s. Ava. The girl’s pain had lessened, she was free at last and had her own home, so Erica had allowed Addison to write, invite the girl, woman, home. She knew, one day, she would meet the girl. All she could do was hope Addison was right and they would all be safe.
