    When the invitation had come he had mostly been annoyed. The messenger had made directly for Tav, ignoring her turning away and his attempts to intercept, until she'd taken it and handed it directly to him. It had caused a scene- and worse than that, it had made her uncomfortable. He could not abide those who made her uncomfortable. By the time he had turned to find the messenger to make them pay, they were already gone.
