Taylor's hands hurt.
They hurt constantly, to be clear. She had a variety of theories as to why this was. Maybe it had been sprung on from her mechanical work. Maybe it was from something else entirely. Hell, maybe it was genetic! She had no idea.
It was especially bad at this particular moment. It sort of felt like a writer's cramp, but instead of just being concentrated to the spot between her thumb and index finger, it went through her whole hand and down her wrist as well.
She hadn't even noticed the way she began to uncomfortably rub at it with her other hand until Ashlyn reached over and offered her own hand. Taylor declined. Ashlyn frowned, now a bit concerned. Taylor looked around to make sure none of the boys were paying too much attention before explaining.
"My hand just hurts" she muttered. It wasn't quite that simple, but it got the point across. Ashlyn nodded and considered this for a moment.
"Do you think Advil or something would help?" she asked. "I'm sure Aiden probably has some I could find" she added. Taylor thought this over and eventually nodded. Worst case scenario, it wouldn't do anything. Ashlyn gave a small smile before going off to find the bathroom. She returned soon after with a glass of water and discreetly handed the pills to Taylor, who quickly downed them. When she was done, she set the glass aside and leaned against the ginger, just trying to ignore the cramping feeling in her hand.
The pain did begin to dull down soon enough, and Taylor eventually forgot it was an issue to begin with. On the off chance it was psychosomatic, Ashlyn didn't comment on the girl's relief, but she was glad to see Taylor feeling better, a bit more like her usual, cheery self now.
