Marinette's POV
I woke up in an unfamiliar place. It was white and clean, and I was connected to a monitor? I was feeling really dizzy and I was paining everywhere. I couldn't remember anything.
Am I in the hospital?! But why?! What happened?
Before I could think of anything else, two people came into the room and hugged me tightly.
"Marinette!! We're so sorry, sweetheart, we should have believed you from the start. You were right. We're truly sorry!!" They kept hugging me and apologizing while I was trying to break the hug.
"Excuse me, may I know who you two are? And how do you know me?" I said, breaking the hug.
"M-Marinette, what are you saying?"The woman said.
"Please tell us that you're joking!!"
"No, I'm not.....who are you two anyway?"
While they were about to speak, one of the doctors came inside the room after knocking.
"Mrs. Cheng, Mr. Dupain, may I talk to you for a moment, please?"The doctor said and escorted them outside.
No one's POV
"Doctor, what happened?! Does she really not remember us?!"
"Please calm down, I will tell you. When I called you to tell you the news you hung up before I told you. Unfortunately, she has amnesia..."
"W-what?!"
"I'm so sorry, we couldn't do anything." The doctor said and then left.
"T-Tom, what are we going to do now?" Sabine said with eyes full of tears.
"I don't know... First, let's call all her friends and tell them about it. They have to know...." He took out his phone from the pocket and dialed everyone's number, but firstly Alya's.
They went inside Marinette's room to try and make her remember, but they failed.
"Marinette, it's us, your parents. Don't you remember us?"
"Sweetie, please, try to remember something! Anything!" Sabing said desperately.
"I'm sorry, I can't, but I can't...."
"Sabine, maybe it's better this way." Tom whispered at his wife.
"What do you mean?"
"If she remembered, I don't think she would ever forgive us."
"Well... you have a point..."
Adrien's POV
When I ran at the hospital to see Marinette. I didn't know how to feel. Happy, sad, excited, hurt, or fear? I just wanted to see her. I didn't even ask my father, I just went to the car and Gorilla drove me there. When we finally arrived, I saw that Alya and Nino were already there. Alya was crying. How could she not? Her best friend was diagnosed with amnesia.
"Hey guys...." I walked towards them.
"Hey dude."
"H-how c-could we d-do this to h-her?! She was right all along, and none of us believed her!" Alya cried.
I saw the door of Marinette's room, opening and I turned to see.
"Mr. Dupain, is she okay?" I went to him.
"Yes, Adrien, don't worry. She is fine, but she sadly can't remember anything..."
"Oh..."
"It was all our fault!! If we actually believed her for once, she would be okay by now!!" Alya continued.
"As i said to Sabine, it may be better this way. She wouldn't forgive us if she remembered what happened, would she?"
"She would be right not to anyway..." Nino looked down.
He was right. We didn't deserve to be forgiven. We all hurt her.
"Guys, did she really wake up?!" Rose ran to us with Juleka and asked with an excited yet sad tone.
"Yes, Rose. But as we also said....she can't remember."
"Oh no!" She started crying too while Juleka tried to calm her down, but she wasn't calm either.
Soon, all of our friends and classmates arrived, even Chloe. Yes, even her. She was the only one who believed her all along....and they weren't even friends...but she has known her more than some of us.
Once Sabine came out of the room, we looked at her. "Guys, two of you can go and see her now." She said and Chloe rushed into the room, and Alya went behind her.
I don't know who was feeling more guilty, me or Alya? I wanted to go and see her too, but I guess I had to wait.
Chloe's POV
Sabine came out of the room Marinette was and said that two of us could go and see her. I immediately rushed inside the room.
"Mari? Are you okay?" I said sitting in the chair beside the bed.
"Umm, yes. May I know who are you?"
"I'm your friend, Chloe. Remember?"
"I don't know you, I'm sorry."
"It's okay...."
"So, you said you're m-"
She was about to say something but before she finished, I saw Alya opening the door and came in.
"You?! What are you doing here?!" I screamed at her.
"Chloe, I know what you're -"
"Alya, go out now. You don't deserve to be here." I tried to sound as calm as I could not wanting to scare Marinette.
"Chloe please! I said I'm sorry okay? I'm truly sorry...I know I shouldn't have done that but she tricked us all okay?! I wasn't the only one....it's mostly my fault but I apologized..."
"....fine. But if you dare to do something like that again, I will make sure you regret it."
Alya nodded and went towards Marinette.
"Girl, I'm Alya, can you remember me?"
"No....what were you two talking about?"
"Nothing for you to worry about...."
