“Don’t go.”
Alex speaks up softly even as Erin pauses, Alex’s hand is soft at her wrist and she could pull away so easily.
“Penny needs us both Erin…”
It's the day before New Year’s. Penelope has been, quietly, asking if Erin would ever consider being with them and this time she won’t let Erin leave. The two had been dancing around their feelings too long.
“I need you. Erin.”
Erin sighs then smiles softly, turning to kiss Alex softly, her voice quiet.
“I need you too… Penelope needs to feel safe.”
New Year’s comes around and Penelope wakes wrapped safely between them, finally, finally content.
