Work Text:
As Dawn lied next to her new husband she wondered if he was really prepared for all the stressors she came with. Did he truly understand what it would mean to love someone like her?
"You know, Ogie, if I'm ever too much, you just tell me a-and I'll do what I can to fix myself"
"Dawn" Oklahoma said, his voice filled with emotion as he looked at her. He tucked a stray hair behind her ear and looked deep into her eyes. The eye contact became a bit too much for her so she looked past him, but he didn't mind. "You will never be too much for me, you hear that?" he told her earnestly. "You're the most wonderful woman I've ever met and I wouldn't change a thing about you"
"Okay, but what if that changes?"
"It won't"
"But what if-"
"It won't" Oklahoma repeated firmly. He kissed her on the forehead. "You remember what I told you after our first date, hm? 'I love you' means you're never ever ever getting rid of me, mkay? And I meant that"
"Okay..."
"You're an amazing woman, Dawn. Don't you ever forget that"
